Mustard seed Faith

So Jesus said to them , "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea and does not have doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he said will come to pass , he will have whatever he says, therefore whatever things you ask when. You pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them"(Mk.11:22-24).

Faith to move mountains! Most people think that kind of faith is unattainable, yet this faith is not something extraordinary. It is simply a persistent and sustained faith- one that does not weaken under testing, it's a faith that rejects the natural senses and regards God's word as the supreme determining factor of whether a thing is true. This is mustard seed Faith, which Jesus said was all that was necessary to move mountains.

In the passage Mark 11:14, we noticed, the disciples heard what Jesus said. They looked at the tree, but saw no immediate change . The foliage was still as green as ever ,but the following day, as they passed by again, they we're startled to see the leaves had withered away and Peter called out Jesus attention that the tree has withered and this remark brought Christ amazing statement of the power of faith.

What happened to the fig tree when it was cursed? Actually , at the very moment Jesus spoke the word, the fig tree died but it took time for the results to be manifested. In this remarkable incident, Jesus revealed another vital secret of prayer: believing must precede receiving, we must believe it happens at the moment we ask though there may not be the slightest evidence of change. Faith disregard what the natural senses discern, faith created the world when there was nothing, faith is only fiath when it sees nothing .

There is nothing spectacular about a mustard see. Plant it in the ground, and if it is dug up the next day, there is no change in it's appearance. Look at it a week later and there may still be little change but something has been set in motion. While the change is exceedingly slow, it is incessant. Days pass and finally a tiny plant breaks through the soil . Higher and higher the little plant shoot up . That growth doesn't stop until the will of God for the development of a mustard tree is fulfilled-until birds are able to find lodging in it's branches . Mustard seed faith is not a spectacular faith but it is an unrelenting faith . This is the faith Jesus said will move the mountains.

Why do mountains sometimes fail to move? The reason usually is not difficult to find, most people plant their mustard seed faith and then dig it up again. They mistake mustard seed faith for instantaneous faith. They plant the seed but return shortly to examine it. When the change cannot be seen, they think nothing has happened, they say, 'i am still sick, my symptoms are still there. By confessing failure ,they uproot the seed of their faith , they accept defeat when victory was on it way. The seed began to grow immediately it was planted but their faith wavers .

Mountains here signifies every powerful opposition , oppression etc.

Kenneth E. Hagin in his book " The believer authority, narrated a story of an insane girl that was brought to him for prayer and He prayed a simple prayer of faith , he said "Because I knew I had spoken the word of faith, I don't have to stand there all day long and command devil to come out" though two days later he was told the woman was having a violent attack similar to the kind she had when she first lost her mind, he believed his first prayer had worked and needed no further prayer . Surprising when they took her to the hospital, the doctor pronounced her normal and was discharged and ever since then she had being heal .

Faith Is believing without an evidence of result and is persistent and never wavers even if the natural senses makes it looks impossible.
