BUY THE TRUTH; DO NOT SELL-THE GREAT TRACE ELEMENT OF INTEGRITY.

Aspire for things that exist forever, but not the things that fade out easily. Whenever the Ladies go to market to buy the ornament to decorate themselves, they look for the one that will last forever: precious gold watch, garment necklaces, beads and ear rings are of high quality items that Ladies select during shopping.

Why do the Ladies normally go for these precious things at the expense of the inferior ones which could be bought at cheaper prices? This is because, in most cases items which are very expensive are mostly quality. In this case, one valuable garment is far better than dozens of garments which are inferior.

For one to maintain his integrity in all sphere of life, he has to always "buy the element of truth," but he should not sell or exchange his truth for lies.

"Buy the truth, and sell not ; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding."(Proverbs 23:23)

Integrity is a great treasure that for one to seek for needs do away with lying in all his life in order to become whole in this integrity.

Judas Iscariot lost his integrity of being a good Disciple by selling his truth for money. In Luke 22:3-6, Matt. 26:47-49 and Mark 14:43-45, Judas betrayed his Master Jesus Christ, after he has allowed Satan to deceived him. He sold Jesus Christ to the Roman soldiers accusing him on so many grounds which was not true. All these accusation labelled against Jesus Christ were falsehood accusation which non of them were true. That Jesus Christ has preached of the salvation, He was doing so many miracles, He was demonstrating that his powers exceeds all the Kings at that time. So, they prosecuted him among those criminals. Even at some point, the people said the soldiers should crucify Jesus Christ and leave Barnabas who was noted to be criminal.

Meanwhile, Jesus Christ saved so many souls. His teachings gained ground after his death. The people realised that they were mistaken, rather it was Jesus Christ is the mesaiah, meanwhile He has already been crucified. So, Judas Iscariot regretted and wept bitterly for betraying the true mesaiah. He could no more bear the consequence and the shame, so he committed a suicide. Look at how one can lose his integrity due to money, we should rather buy the truth, but sell it not!

In the Book of Acts chapter 5 vs 1 to 11, we were introduced to a certain man and his wife by named Ananias and Sapphira, who sold their truth for liar. In those days when Peter was in charged of some land belonging to the people of the land. It happened that Ananias and his wife, Sapphira sold the portion of the land and tried to hide some of the money. Ananias reported to Peter that, that is exactly what they got. Peter said to Ananias that you have not lied to men, but unto God. And, immediately Ananias fell down and and died, and he was buried by the people. Between three hours interval, his wife Sapphira came in, and Peter asked her whether they sold the land for that amount, and she said exactly so. Peter asked why have they agreed to tempt the spirit of the Lord? She toi fell down and died at the spot.

One thing that we should note is that, when we lie, we do not lie to men, but we lie to the Holy Ghost. Ananias and his wife Sapphira were thinking that they were lying to Peter, not knowing that they were lying to the Holy Ghost. Look at how they ended their lives because they sold the precious truth which could have saved their lives.

Let us be careful, and maintain the integrity we have recorded for so many years, by trying to live with the truth. It will be better to die in truth, rather to die in liar. We should always buy truth, but we should not sell the truth.
