A WORSHIPPER

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24.

You must worship God with an understanding. When you have a personal revelation about God, your worship to Him flows naturally. It is easy for a grateful person to worship God. No wonder David was a great worshipper. He knew where God took him from and made him a king. David danced before God with all his might.

David said to his wife Michal, "It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord's people Israel--I will celebrate before the Lord.” (2 Samuel 6:21, NIV). Worship is not an act, but a lifestyle. We touch the heart of God when we worship Him.

In Luke 7:36-50, Jesus was invited to a Pharisee’s house to dine with him. When Jesus was reclining at the table, a sinful woman went there with an alabaster jar of perfume. She stood at Jesus’ feet and wept. She began to wet His feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

As she ministered to Jesus, she received forgiveness of sins.
Our worship activates the mercy and attention of God. As we worship in spirit and in truth, we move the heart of God to act on our behalf. Don’t wait to worship God at church service, but cultivate the lifestyle of worship outside church. You will be amazed at realms you will experience.
