Grettings Brothers! Jesus say:

Therefore, you also perceived, because the Son of Man, must come at a time when you do not think. Gospel of Matthew 24:44.

Beloved, I admire people who have commitments on earth and do not rest while not fulfilling. Examples:

The meeting with your doctor, the monthly payments. Telecom. Seal of the car, security, etc. But unfortunately, when it comes to commitments with God: it can be for later. These are things that can wait, people say.

My friends, Jesus was certainly one of the most punctual people in his responsibilities.

When we talk about the parable of the ten virgins, perhaps many may ask: Is there no more to talk about? Honestly: hearing, repeating, learning from God, never tired of me.

What we have just observed, when Jesus advises the preparation to meet God, He does not say: "prepare us". It is much more serious: "Be prepared."

Preparations require time and work. What his Word teaches us: if Jesus is pending the preparations, we will remain on the ground. Being prepared is already having, "packed".

When someone plans a trip by plane, he does not show up at the airport, at Che King, he delivers the bags and I go there! No, he has to prepare his place, pay for his ticket and, (ON THE DAY TO ARRIVE AT TIME, MAKE THE FAMOUS CHE KING, AND ENTER THE PLANE °.

Dear ones, my question this morning is this: Have you already taken these steps? Are you ready for the trip?

What if Jesus came today?

At this moment, right now, I have to be ready to leave. It is a duty, a possibility and the scope of each one of us.

Jesus illustrated this truth in the parable of the ten virgins. Matthew 25: 1a13. It is about ten young people who had the honor of being invited to a famous marriage. The groom sends them a special invitation. He knows them, loves them and wants to share his joy.

The groom represents Jesus and the guests, the Christians. All the children of God, born again, are invited to the marriage of the Lamb.

But a big problem exists, we do not know: neither the day, nor the time of his coming.

For that reason, Jesus invites us to be prudent for this event, so that no one will miss that glorious encounter. This warns us that He will bring to Himself, only, who is prepared: waiting.

Looking around, we can imagine the fracture that will be that day. One of the biggest will be:

"And he, answering, said: Truly I say to you, I do not know you." Matthew 25:12.

But who are the wise virgins and the crazy ones?

The ten virgins represent the Christians scattered throughout the world. They know, they have knowledge of his coming and they were offered a "Lamp", (the Word of God.) Why would such a banal object have served Jesus to illustrate his Light?

So that no one would lose this glorious opportunity, to live close to him, enjoying definitively the delights of Heaven.

The word virgin is translated by young servants.

Prudent, it is translated by someone who heard and received the Word of God willingly. That is, someone who sought to know more about Him and accepted Him as Lord of his life.

Crazy: for fools. Christians with lack of meaning. Not giving credit to the warnings of God.

God is the God of wisdom. But as it is written:

"There is no one who understands: there is no one who seeks God." Romans 3:11.

And the psalmist denounces, saying:

"The Lord looked down from the high heavens to the sons of men, to see if there was anyone who understood and sought God." They all turned aside and together they became unclean: "There is no one who does good, there is not even one." 14: 2-3.

The great madness of the human being is not to try to feed his soul from the Word that comes from the Father.

The Lamp and the oil reserve.

The Lamp is the Word of God. Having knowledge of the return of Jesus and knowing the Word is insufficient. The writer was aware of the need for the Word:

"Lamp for my feet is your Word and light, for my way"? Psalm 119: 105.

An extinguished or simply dead lamp is useless.

The Word of God was written by men, but inspired by the Holy Spirit. If we want her to enlighten us, it is necessary the help of the Holy Spirit.

The wise virgins understood the message of the Spirit of God well. They needed the anointing oil. God expects committed Christians and not just empty words.

A serious error in the Christian is when he loses his love for the things of God. This was also written:

"I have, however, against you that leave you first love." Remember, then, where you fell from, and repent, and practice the first works: when not, I will briefly come to you and remove your candlestick from your place, if not you repent, Revelation 2: 4-5, Amen.
