YOU DWELL IN CHRIST

To dwell in Him means to make your home in Him. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, “For we are also his offspring” (Act 17:28) When you were born again, you were born into the environment called “Christ”; you dwell in Him. The Bible says, if any man be in Christ…” (2 Corinthians 5:17) Christ is a place, and He’s also a person. He’s your home. In Him, you’re at rest and at peace! You’re safe, secure, and fulfilled; your joy and satisfaction overflow. What a place to be!
In spite of the troubles, crises, and overwhelming spread of evil around the world, there’s nothing for you to fear, because you dwell in Christ.
Psalm 91:1 says, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
The Lord protects and takes care of His people. In Christ, we’re never, and can never be disadvantaged; we’re victors and not victims; the Lord Jesus assured us of peace and safety in a tempestuous world.

Unfortunately, many Christians abide in Christ as a motel, just for a temporary stay. But we need to get ourselves settled in Christ, to make Christ our home. We need to dwell in Him. In John 14:23 the Lord Jesus said, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him." This verse says that both the Father and the Son will come to us and make an abode with us. For the Father and the Son to make an abode with us means that the Triune God settles in us, making us His abode, that we would make Him our abode. The abode in John 14:23 and in 1 John 2:6, 3:24, and 4:15-16 is a mutual abode. God takes us as His abode, and we take Him as our abode. Our real and permanent home is our God. Christ is our home and our dwelling place, be courageous. Refuse to fear. You dwell in Christ; therefore, you’re shielded from harm, evil and destruction.
In Him you live, and move, and have your being. He has said, “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee” (Psalm 91:7). Hallelujah!

Believer: thrice happy art thou to have such a dwelling-place! Greatly privileged thou art, for thou hast a “strong habitation” in which thou art ever safe. And “dwelling in Him,” thou hast not only a perfect and secure house, but an everlasting one. When this world shall have melted like a dream, our house shall live, and stand more imperishable than marble, more solid than granite, self-existent as God, for it is God Himself—”We dwell in Him.”
