The Bible says he that walks with the wise will be wise. And it follows that he that associates with fools or the wicked will get converted to their ways. We must therefore befriend, walk with those who will influence us positively.

Tamar's destiny would have been devastated if Ammon had a friend who thought things through and wished to preserve Ammon's integrity, future and life. Unfortunately, Ammon yielded to Jonadab's advise and short-circuited the colorful destiny God had designed for him as David's son.

Jonathan on the other side was a sharp instrument who helped to make David who he was. Instead of succumbing to his father's envy and hatred for David, he accepted God's choice of David to take over from his father Saul. He also went on to become a friend closer than a brother.
When we come in contact with men God has destined to sharpen our life and future the sky will be our starting point and not the limit.

Such was Mordecai in the life of Esther. Without him, Esther would never had understand her calling. And without his help I believe she might never have embraced it. Thank God for Mordecai's wisdom.

Esther then became the sharp tool God used to deliver his people from the devilish plans of Haman.
