An Anchor In The Soul Of The Christian!!!

Hope is the wealth of those who have nothing, but who have everything. It is compared to an anchor of a boat.

The function of the anchor is to promote stability to the boat and, hope is one of the most exciting, abundant and consoling topics of the Holy Bible.

"... everything that, once it was written for our teaching, was written, so that through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures, we may have hope" (Romans 15: 4).

The Scriptures teach how blessed are those "whose hope is in the Lord their God, who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, and whose truth remains forever" (Ps 146: 6).

There are many people in the world who are unhappy and hopeless because of the avalanches of life, because of storms and contrary winds.

However, the church of Christ has a lively hope. We are the people of expectation, who believe in the possibility of the supernatural at any time, and who live in the perspective of the kingdom of glory.

The writer to the Hebrews emphasizes that the Christian has a hope whose foundation is the promise and oath of God himself. In light of the book of Hebrews, there are two marks of Christian hope:

The Christian's hope is certain

Consider what the Bible says, "... in order to lay hold of the hope set before us: what we have as an anchor of the soul, so sure ..." (Hebrews 6:19)

This is the only time that the word anchor is used as a metaphor for hope. The function of the anchor is to promote stability to the boat. No matter the circumstances, the anchor must remain fixed at the bottom of the sea. However, we need to note some distinctions between the anchor of a ship and the anchor of the soul: while the anchor extends to the depths of the ocean, hope as an anchor of the soul extends towards eternity, in addition to the veil, in the Holy of the Saints.

The hope of the Christian is also firm

"... in order to hold on to the hope set before us, which anchors us of the soul, sure and firm ..." (Hebrews 6: 18, 19).

The hope of the Christian is firm because it is signed in the faithful promises of the immutable God and penetrates beyond the veil.

God gave the heirs of the promise two immutable things: promise and oath, so that the children of Abraham had a firm and sure hope. The Lord swore by his own name. Therefore, the Christian must be full in the certainty of hope. She is the inheritance of the saved. Therefore, we use the proposed hope.

"What hope do we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, and penetrating even into the veil, where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek?" (Hebrews 6: 19, 20)

The hope of salvation!

What is impossible for man, it is possible for God, so, hope is firm and secure, it is anchored in your soul to remember that, everything that is lost by own mistake or misfortune of life, you can recover if it is simply in the immutable plans of God.
