"Let us now look at the meaning of the kingdom of God is at hand"
What and where is the Kingdom?
Having good Understanding about this question has been confusing for many. Some people believe that the Kingdom of God is simply in one’s heart. Many Others people have also suggested that it is the Church.some people even say that this Kingdom is in heaven but only Few have been able to perfectly harmonize the teaching on this subject in the Old Testament with what is revealed in the New.When our Lord Jesus Christ appeared on earth as a human,it was so clear that the Kingdom of God did not yet rule over the earth,the early Christians eagerly awaited its arrival.unluckily, this teaching regarding the Kingdom of God being a kingdom that would come to earth and replace all civil governments disappeared from mainstream Christianity over the centuries following Christ’s death.the question As for the “what” and “where” of the Kingdom,it is revealed in the Old Testament that it would be a future kingdom to be established on earth, first ruling over humans for a thousand years and then continuing for eternity.
The Kingdom is “at hand”
God revealed through the prophet In the time of Daniel,that "the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.(Daniel 7:18).This prophecy simply means that the saints and this kingdom would be eternal, but there were few details about this Kingdom. In mark(1:15) Jesus Christ add to the understanding of the kingdom and his statement that the Kingdom of God was at hand, Jesus was saying that He, as the representative of the coming Kingdom of God, was available to teach people about this future Kingdom.(Revelation 1:6 ; 5:10)those who faithfully respond to Jesus gospel will rule with Him as kings and priests over the physical nations and peoples who will exist when He returns.But it is important to note is that “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 15:50).for you to become a member of this great Kingdom,one’s human body must be changed to a “spiritual body”( verse 44 ).( verse 53 )“This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality”.faithful followers of Christ who have been changed into spirit will make the kingdom of heaven.all this spirit beings will assist Christ in ruling over the mortal humans who remain on earth after all the devastation that will occur prior to His return.
The kingdom is within you
(Luke 17:20-21)
20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,
21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
I think this passage is clear enough and Jesus Christ was trying to say was that He is a representative and the future King of this coming Kingdom of God,was standing in their midst.While the Kingdom of God is to be in our hearts and minds,the Kingdom of God is far more than a philosophic mind-set.
conclusion
As a a Christian our priority suppose to be the kingdom of heaven, we must work towards it each and everyday of our life... I pray we will all be the citizens of heaven
Nice words, we should use the opportunity of this life to gain eternal world before we no longer there.
The best time to change ones heart to pure and good is Now 'cause tomorrow may never comes.
