How much do you trust God?

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am, and he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him, then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you, and Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

God Tested Abraham

They came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood, and Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

The angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
And he said;

Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and images (98).jpgbehold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen, the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son.

The reward for faithful service

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Sort:

Abraham was a man of faith, a man that believe God to the fullest, Abraham trust God, even when odds where down his faith remain strong..... that should be out new theme.

All Christians must learn from this "The reward for faithful service
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice"

Abraham was a patriarch and the father of faith there are so many lessons to be learnt from his great test of faith, but the most important is that sometimes we need to believe God despite Any situation, we need to stand the test of faith when God comes calling

The story of abraham and isaac teaches us that trusting in God is the ultimate, he almost sacrificed his son to God, God saw that he was a faithful servant and he proved it.

God is always at work, molding and shaping us for His purposes. This sometimes comes by sacrifice,by testing and by trusting. When that happens, let Abraham’s example be a blueprint for your obedience. And let the Lord’s faithful sovereignty encourage you unto completion. Thanks

It is clear that faith in God is the only thing that can save us now and forever .

Your faith should be based on what .
Its all about you believing in the Almighty God with your heart and spirit that he can do all things according to his will .
In some instances christains do loose faith in God when they are faced with the problem of the world and this is not the way it should be for those who truelly love Christ and gave their life to the saviour.

in all times christans are always seen and expected to do more than they feel they are doing .the enemy is always ready to mock you and make sure you do not succed in life and this is one of the reasons why we should keep unto out faith in christ who came to die for us.
Never mind what people are sying about you do the best you can do and leave the rest for christ.

only your faith can save you

What I learnt from this story was a great deal of trust existed between Abraham and God. Another thing was how Abraham possessed every form of righteousness in him even though he wasn't a Christian. He knew God would compensate him for any loss. He was just a man who loved and trusted God. We should always trust him at all times for he is the only true way

We must learn that God is faithful.
HE will not tempt us above what we can bear....
Trust Him
Thanks for the message

Situations and trials are the true test of our trust in God. You can't please Him If you don't have faith in him.

Thanks for this insightful article.
