He has loved us long before the foundation of the worldHe has loved us long before the foundation of the world, he has sent his son Jesus Christ to take our place so that we can have eternal life together with him forever.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the door for him, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. 5 But they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers. 6 This parable told them Jesus, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door for the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not heard them. 9 I am the door; whoever enters by me will be saved; he will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. 12 But the hireling, who is not the shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them. 13 So the hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares nothing for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know my sheep, and my sheep know me, 15 just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have that are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and there will be one flock, and one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment I received from my Father.
John 10:1-18
His Christ had a very clear and specific mission in this world, it consisted of always doing the will of God throughout his life, we observe that Jesus Christ continually presented his life to the Father, let us remember that text that says "the king of kings came to serve and not to be served" that service has been a constant evolution that has influenced the very death of Jesus Christ as an act of service of redemption for humanity.
28 as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:28
The greatest purpose of Jesus Christ has been to become the perfect sacrifice that humanity needed and through that sacrifice on the cross he has redeemed us from sin so that we have a new relationship with God through him.
39 Going a little further, he fell on his face, praying and saying: My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me: but not as I will, but as you will.
Matthew 26:39
Jesus Christ has fulfilled the mission that was not discussed, he has suffered and even in the lowest, cruelest and darkest moment of his life he did not depart from his calling as redeemer, he always showed his faithfulness to God by marking and granting us the path to God and eternal life.
6 Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me.
John 14:6
