KNOWING AND MAXIMIZING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS - PART 1

Hi friends, beautiful Sunday to you all, I hope your day was great, today i would be sharing God's word with you all, read and be blessed!

The salvation of our Soul is the greatest thing that has ever happened to us.

After Salvation comes service this is why we have the cliche 'Saved to Serve'.

The Lord planned that all His children occupy until he comes or until He takes them home through death.

I believe not many of us would have complained if we were taken home immediately we have our lives to Christ, no reasonable person would miss "a street of dust" when in it's place he gets a "street of gold".

Once you become Born Again a race is set before you.

Heb 12 vs 1 says "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us".

To help us finish that race successfully spiritual gifts are very vital, these gifts are freely given by the Holy Spirit.

Any manifestation of Spiritual gifts without salvation is not from the Holy Spirit.

In Act 16 vs 16- 17, the damsel manifested spiritual gifts, but we know where she got it from.

From the onset, it is of utmost importance that we understand in our heart that called everyone of us for a purpose.

**No child of God is useless in the scheme of things, Spiritual gifts are divine enablement or capacities that are divinely bestowed upon us in order to fulfil God's purpose for our lives.

The way we access or judge usefulness has affected us tremendously, the brother or sister who finds joy and fulfilment just serving in the background is not seen as fulfilling a ministry.

Let it be very clear to us that whatsoever God has called us to do is very very important.

Any part of the work assigned to you by divine ordinance should be taken up with utmost vigor and dedication knowing fully well that God is a meticulous God.

He doesn't do anything without a plan, he has the end in view right from the beginning.

Acts 15:18 says " things known from long ago" that means the best person to rely on in knowing "why" you are here is Jesus.

Others may say "Oh I think you are called to do this or that" that may be okay some of the time but not all the time.

Seek to hear Him for yourself and understand the gifts he has graciously given you.

He choose Saul of Taurus, knew what he was needed for and the gift he will carry right from onset - Acts 9:15.

This was someone that even Ananias was scared to go and lay hands on when God told him to do so clearly.

God told him that Saul was a chosen vessel. No wonder he could take his stand, became the apostle to the gentiles instead of Peter and ended up writing most part of the New testament.

Also in Jeremiah, 1:4-5 says
"The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

In our dispensation the Lord still speaks clearly and Still gives spiritual gifts to as many as do care enough to seek Him in this regard.

Knowing and maximizing your spiritual gift begins when you make up your mind that "I am not deciding the part to follow, I am just discovering it.

I don't have to make it happen, I just have to let it happen. I just have to take the path that He prearranged and made ready for me to take. Eph 2:10 says
"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do".

This follows that whatever part we are to play flows naturally, because you have the grace for it. Romans 12:4-6 says

"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,

so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.

Peradventure you have being trying to operate in a particular office and it's not working, it is probably not His Plan for you.

So many are running with a call that is not their own. They are toiling in the vineyard of others, there is certainly no way that increase will come their way.

You are an Evangelist or a Prophet but running a church as a Pastor and wondering why the Church is not growing.

Ofcourse no growth unless we work "after the counsel of His will"- Eph 1:11
