STEEMCHURCH - Make It HAPPEN!

in #steemchurch5 years ago

Oftentimes, I've seen people who make a lot of excuses about why they aren't made for greatness. I hear stories like;

"Oh! I come from a poor home"
"Oh! I am not educated"
"Oh! I am not brilliant"
"Oh! my life has been a mess"

I hear such excuses from people who are fit and sound, and I always say to myself "What is wrong with people?" Why is it that most people dwell so much on their past that they forget the future? It doesn't make sense if you ask me. What you've been through in life or whatever you are going through at the moment doesn't define who you will become. That your life is messy does not mean it will stay that way forever except, of course, you let it.

No matter how little you think of yourself, there is nothing you cannot achieve in this world once you put your mind to it. Stop thinking that greatness is for a certain group of people. Stop thinking that you don't have what it takes to be great. You know, a lot of people may think God is partial when it comes to blessing other people, but the truth is that God has given every human unique potential to use and be great. It all boils down to who is willing to tap into theirs. The ability to become what you want to be is in you. God will not come down from heaven to make things happen for anyone. You've to be the one that is willing to let things happen while you back it up with prayers.

Well, I haven't lived that long on earth, but one thing I've learned over the years is that what you give to the universe is what you get back in return just as the gurus will always say "Garbage in, Garbage out" if you keep being negative about your life and all that is happening in it, then the universe will definitely give back negativity. The Bible says what we sow, we shall reap, when we give excuses and dwell so much in our past, they will keep hunting us for the rest of our lives because that is all we see. I know life can be very confusing, and I also get the fact that our past can contribute to our future, but what I don't get is allowing that past to make us.

I think certain events in our lives happened for a reason. Some of them happened to help us make better judgments while some happened to teach us probably a lesson that will be needed in the future. Staying trapped in the past will only make the future dark. Sometimes, it is difficult to let go of everything that had happened but it is more painful to dwell in it. The more you let go of your past, the happier you become. They say, there's light at the end of the tunnel, and holding on to your past is like staying inside of the tunnel without getting to the end to see the light.

Our past will always hold us back and limit us from achieving greatness. The only one that can make things turn around in your life is you! And like I will always say, God, is ready to keep His own part of the deal. He is ready to help us achieve our dreams through Christ if only we are ready to lose ourselves from ourselves.
