Steem Basic Income - Enhanced Votes Graphs

Steem Basic Income

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Enhanced Support Graph

We first published this graph that 'maps' the interrelationships in our member pool a couple of months ago. Here is our graph and analysis from last time we published it:
https://steemit.com/steembasicincome/@steembasicincome/pewgf-steem-basic-income-enhanced-votes-graph

And here is the graph from this week:

(img source http://www.steemreports.com/votes-graph-enhanced/?accounts=steembasicincome)

It only shows people that regularly upvote each other or @steembasicincome, that have multiple shares for bigger upvotes. That makes sense, because we have 2300 active members across seven pools. All of those interrelationships would be too much for this chart.

We've been actively rebalancing across pools this month, moving inactives down and promoting up members with more shares to facilitate better voting power management across pools. That creates an interesting hub and spoke impact in our chart, with quite a few cross links but not many as impactful as the voting relationships between these members and @steembasicincome.

It's very hard to see active clusters of members within this grouping. It's much more interesting to look at the enhanced graphs of more typical members. For example, @taskmaster4450 is a thought leader on Steem that writes a lot about Basic Income and the potential of Steem for social impact. Here's what the chart for a successful thought leader looks like.

There is solid support from his user base, and a handful of other accounts that I recognize as other thoughtful writers on Steemit, along with some philosophy and information sources like @wwf and @zer0hedge. If you want to be as smart as @taskmaster4450 about all things Steem, follow the accounts he has the biggest arrows going out from!

Delegation Bonus Shares

Existing members can receive bonus shares by delegation. For every 20 SP delegated to @steembasicincome, members will receive 1 bonus share. Any Steemian that is enrolled in @steembasicincome can delegate as much as they would like, to receive bonus shares. We will publish our delegation sources update again this week, so if you want your support showcased, now is your chance!

Here are some Handy Delegation links:

Enrollment

If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member.

If you're unclear, please check out our full transaction memo guidelines and then let us know if you have any questions.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We are not currently accepting SBD for enrollments.

@zublizainordin #zublizainordin says this program Steem Basic Income is good and I already benefited. Thank You @josephsavage

Do we have a goal #of members? Or basically, everyone on steemit?

@steembasicincome's Main Goal is to Sustainably provide a basic income to Steemians, and Over time, gradually increase that sustainable basic income.

To continue in alignment with the intent of creating a sustainable basic income, not just another profit system for the wealthy, it is the main intent of @steembasicincome to maintain forward momentum and proceed with the “Future Features” ideas that uplift the underprivileged.

Thanks for the question
I believe in Universal Basic Income, the Steem Basic Income idea is based upon it.
@cryptogecko

We don't explicitly have a target number of members. I can imagine a future where SBI enrollment drives Steem registrations instead of the other way around. Maybe that's overly optimistic, but the actual goal is to have an actual impact in the world around us, not just on Steem.

Well that’s an interesting question, would also like the answer on it!

I guess everyone on Steemit, considering the universal values of the basic income. But don't ask me about technical stuff :-)

In beginning i hated this project.but now i understood its importance and i loved it.thanks @steembasicincome

I'm on your graph, thats amazing.

Cool, I made it to this one too lol

What's the goal for profitability per share, if that's something you're able to share. Is it weighted by what percentage of shares in a pool you hold?

Thanks for the write-up! I think the 0.01 per day is rounded down from a little more, but it definitely sounds like we're in line with the 180 day target. It's hard to be precise with the prices of STEEM and SBD constantly changing.

Based on that post and on that comment from steembasicincome it still should be a return time per Steem per share of 180 days. Getting one share, receiving 1 Steem back over 180 days.
With a sponsor for sponsor and bonus shares you can get it down to roughly 45 days I assume. Basically four shares (2 from the sponsor for sponsor and 2 bonus shares.) are paying in that moment for the investment of one Steem.

But still based on every investment opportunity one has on Steemit this is by far the best. It's well managed, you don't have to deal with bid bots and the potential of a lost there and it's not limited like the buying votes from @smartmarket or @minnowbooster.
All of them are short term investments (per post), @steembasicincome on the other hand is a long term investment.

There is some variability depending on STEEM/SBD prices. With SBD settling back toward $1 the value premium from publishing 50/50 is decreasing, which makes 180-day target unsustainable.

We try to maintain a balance between ROI and sustainability, and expect the ROI to gradually decline over time as the program (and the entire crypto ecosystem) matures.

Jeah, the post with the profitability is three months old, right in a time, where the SBD price was through the roof.

But based on the new summary from the spreadsheet the simple return (Dunno over which time period, 180 days?) is still at 67.07% and with the bonus at 134.14%.

So Steembasicincome's return are still amazing and I'm pretty sure they will stay awesome, even with a decline in the overall return. The basic support and endless payout period makes it the best investment opportunity on Steemit. That's quite a nice unique selling proposition. 😎

We try to maintain profitability per share as relatively constant across pools.

As always this is my best tool to understand more about the SBI community.. I think it provides a great overview about worthy steemians whose blogs deserve to be checked. I see myself linked to my vampiric-squirrel friend @brisby.. awesome! And how cool to see @dynamicgreentk too. Thumbs up!

I'm glad to see this as well, my fanged bananafish bud! 😎 (You know, we need a vampire emoji...) We're lucky to have this service available so that we can give more than just our own upvotes.
So many people have been supported by the SBI program! It's heartwarming to see all of the Steemians who use it to help grow great content and give a boost to all of those who are trying to get by in putting forward their hard works!

Yeas.. sincerely, it brings a lot of "tranquility" the SBI upvote. And helps sustain others. Ah, how should the sbi members call themselves? @josephsavage said SBInians after I told him that SBI members was a bit plain. I think it sounds like a sect of crack-smoking gnomes .. i love it!

I think some videos of your work behind the scenes would be interesting for all.

That's something we've thought about. At some point we would like to do some special updates of that sort.

Thanks for the update. Always great seeing tight knit groups supporting each other.

We love to see that too!

Thanks for the up-date @steembasicincome ... Always appreciated. Regards @averageoutsider

when does the spreadsheet get updated? and can i sponsor more than one with the same transaction? like 2 steem for two people? and can i sponsor the same person with more than 1 steem like 5 steem for @steembasicincome?

Yes you can sponsor more than one with same transaction, as long as your STEEM amount divides cleanly by the number of people (e.g. 4 STEEM for 2 people, 6 STEEM for 2 people (or 3 people) but not 5 STEEM for 2 or 3 people. 5 STEEM for 5 people or for 1 person.

spreadsheet is updated as we work on it (and refreshes every five minutes- though you may need to refresh the page too). We typically process enrollments within 2-3 days.
