Delegating my Steem Power to Support the Steem-atlas Project
It's quite interesting to know that over the months, Steem-Atlas has been on standby to make our journey to places an interactive one. We would barely connect with physical people in physical establishments if not for the Steem-Atlas project. I also see it as a means of promoting the platform when interactions such as these are made.
But unfortunately, I've not been an active promoter of this project because of certain insecurity levels in my city, for which I'm still looking for suggestions or a better way to go about it. Hiding to cover one's establishment? They see it as a privacy invasion. Anyways, I've found a perfect strategy which supporting the growth of this project would help me do.
Some months back, a man questioned me if I only promote places in the cities and ignore places in rural areas because they don't have good buildings and facilities. I didn't reply to him immediately. He then stated that people in rural areas need more visibility of their business places than those in town.
I answered him tactically. I told him that with my personal experience, those in rural areas, due to their lack of understanding of current technologies, fear being exposed because they don't understand what you're doing. They'll feel you want to sell them or use them for rituals. They just have this belief that if you capture their place, they'll stop selling or becoming productive there.
It was left for me to change this mindset, and I saw this support system, even though it's small, as a way through. I delegated 2000 SP to @steem-atlas, for which I'd be getting roughly 1 STEEM on a daily basis. My aim of getting these rewards is to lend a helping hand to these rural establishments, which I'll start putting in the spotlight.
Most of them don't have coordinates. So I'll take it as a responsibility to promote businesses in all areas using Steem-Atlas even though they lack basic facilities or have dilapidated buildings that are less attractive. They need to be seen and heard. I've developed a strategy for this, and I think working on this will be from next month.
It's not going to be bad enough if I give these business owners money gotten from my weekly bonuses as support for transportation or fuel to run their businesses at night.
Delegating Steems to @steem-atlas |

I think basically everyone knows how to do such delegations, but if you're unaware of such, these were my steps.
- Step one, visit https://steemworld.org/@bossj23.
- Before visiting, replace that bossj23 with your username. Then tap on the link. For example...
https://steemworld.org/@dove11. You then tap on the link after editing.
- Once it loads and the page opens, you'll see your stats and the Delegation bar at the far right end. Click on Delegations and then click on Delegate.

- From there, you input the amount you want to delegate and the account — @steem-atlas. You then proceed and validate your transaction using your private active key.
- Once you're done, you'll see your delegations in the Ongoing bar.
This is how I delegated to steem-atlas. With the bonuses gotten daily and a few tips from my own earnings, I'll focus on powering up and also using a few steems to support the places I review on a daily basis. I won't override or overdo it; it's beyond my capability. Thank you @steem-atlas for this opportunity of sharing power to get more power, so to speak
I have set @steem-atlas as proxy
Thank you for supporting Steem Atlas with your delegation, and thank you for setting your witness proxy to @steem-atlas.
That is a good idea to put rural businesses on Steem Atlas.
You can use the Google Plus Codes if it makes it easier to locate them on the map.
Yes Sir. I just feel like it's the new Mission impossible released this year. Let's see how it goes. Thanks for this.
