Of all the creatures in the Amazon basin, Celeste was the one who treated every day like a slow Sunday. While other animals were busy with their own drama, toucans arguing over the ripest fruit, capuchin monkeys stealing each other’s snacks, ants marching like they had deadlines, Celeste just floated.

She was a capybara, and her philosophy was simple. Find water, get in, and stay there. The river was warm, a little murky, and perfect. Her body was half submerged, ears up, eyes half closed like she was listening to music only she could hear.

Her daily routine never changed much. Wake up, wade into the shallows, nibble on fresh grass along the bank, then slide right back into the water. Munch, soak, nap, repeat. No rush, no stress. The other animals called her lazy. Celeste called it self care.

She wasn’t ignoring the world. She was just choosing peace over panic. And honestly, watching her you start to wonder if she was onto something.
