What is the primary purpose of animal mating and what benefit is it in the agricultural sector

Mating can be defined as the process by which the male and female gametes are joined together to create new offspring

1. Mating, also known as breeding, can improve the production of crops and help bring new genes; this will help expand the inherited abilities of animals.

2. Mating can help in the production of animals that consumers taste; this will encourage restaurants to be highly recommended for the use of good animals in preparing dishes.

3. Mating can help improve the potential of animals with some traits and also help to increase the population of the animal.

4. Mating animals and plants can help to increase global food supply through the production of crops in large quantities, which are grown in large units.

Monogamous mating can be defined as the process by which a male or female mates with only one member of the opposite sex.

Polygamous mating has to do with the mating of a male or female with two or more members of the opposite sex.

We also have polygyny and polyandry. Polyandry can be seen as an act in which a female is mating with more than one male. Polygyny is a mating process that involves the male sex mating with several females.
