Agricultural Story #13
Hello lovers of Agriculture
I was waiting for rain to fall before I can start planting, I believe many farmers were also waiting just like me and after two days that God water the earth, I pay a visit to my farm.
Reaching there, weed has grown again and in order to plant, I have to remove the weeds before doing it. This was not my plans, I thought I will go and meet the farm still clear as it was but the growing weeds change me plan and even my mood because the process of removing the weeds before planting makes me to stay in the farm longer than expected.
Though I spent more than five hours, my husband assisted me so much in cleaning the bushing surrounding as well as removing the weeds. His assistance make it easy to plant my crops. In the farm, I plant maize, Potatoe and pumpkin. My selection crops are very useful crops that serves in various purposes and so, choosing them as the first three crops is not a bad option and by my next visit, I believe the seeds will germinate and then grows up as expected though my child also help in making sure he goes round to remove sticks that I used to indicate where maize is plant, giving me double work.
However, am very much happy that i was able to plant all the crops which I know in few month from now, this farm crops will serve my family in giving us a enough food to consume or sell to make profits. When I finish the planting process and I couldn't withstand the hot weather again, I return back home with the mind to continue planting other crops like okra, cassava etc. In the farm on my next visit.
Agriculture will always be a source of food supply in the world.

I congratulate you for your attitude of planting those species that are really useful and very delicious.
Of all of them, the only one I have never been able to harvest is the potato. I don't know why it doesn't grow in my pots.
I don't have fields, I plant everything in pots, except squash and corn, but eggplants, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro and others grow very well in my pots.
What is the secret to planting potatoes?
