Agritourism can be defined as the process where you receive a visitor in your farm for educational as well as entertainment purposes. Agritourism is also known as farm tourism. This kind of agritourism offers a unique experience to the visitors to enjoy their stay and also have the ability to tour around the rural area. Agritourism enables the visitors and the farmers to have a strong connection in which they will enjoy the good benefits that may come out of it.

Agritourism allow the visitors to know the direct source where the food they eat come from, rural life would be so much interesting to them because they would learn other people way of life.

• Direct market: This type of agritourism mainly targets the final consumers to enjoy fresh farm products from the farm. This likely occurs to the consumers who seek a direct farm table for a meal. Those who are by the roadside sell directly to the visitors to enjoy a natural meal with their family.

• Education and experience: This type of farm tourism enables customers to have more experience when they engage in conversation with the farmers. If the farmers try to convince them, the customers can buy farm products from them. The most widely known agricultural farm tourism activities are historical exhibitions, school tours, foraging, garden tours, etc.

• Recreation and event: Farmers use farm land for commercial purposes by marketing their products through organizing events that motivate customers to buy their farm produce. Recreation and event agritourism include playing music in the farm space, organizing games like horseback riding, rock climbing, fishing, boating, etc.

Agritourism plays an important role for everyone as it boosts the economic development of rural areas. These tourists will create employment opportunities and generate income for business owners within the community because the business owners will spend money on food and accommodations for a beautiful stay.

Agritourism also serves educational purposes by allowing visitors to learn different farming methods used by farmers in the farm space. Another benefit is that visitors can connect with different people in rural areas and contribute to community development by gaining their attention in order to have a sense of belonging.
