RE: [Reasons for STEEM rise] Due to the Bithumb exchange, STEEM prices may temporarily fluctuate. Please be careful when trading.

Hi @lostmine27!
This is good information and might explain the price surge at the moment. Thanks for letting us know about the latest with Bithumb! I hope they've improved their security now. And $1.4, lol, is this the kimchi-premium?

Nice to meet you @v4vapid :)

First, Bithumb's high STEEM price is not due to "Kimchi premium".

Perhaps it is suspected that the price management by a bot or a specific power. It's a phenomenon often seen on some small exchanges, which seems to be possible because they have stopped depositing and withdrawing the coin.

Although Bithumb is not a small exchange, they had been doing such a foolish operation. They grew easily thanks to the past market boom.

However, Bithumb recently changed its management through M & A and is issuing its own coin called BXA. So Bithumb needs to show an entirely new look at the moment.

Resuming deposits and withdrawals for some coins seems to be related to the above issues. If there are no special variables, they will announce that they will soon open STEEM wallets.
(Probably within a few days)

If you are wondering when Bithumb's STEEM wallet will open, please see the bulletin below. Although the title is Korean, the English version is provided at the bottom of the text.

In addition to STEEM, some coins are rising for the same reason.

Thank you. It's late, but happy new year.

Happy New Year!
