When you pretend "its all fine" but its really not.😋 (a bit more bot talk)

bot owners, nowadays

Well yesterday was the day i uploaded my first video after 2 weeks and it felt good to be back. It felt so good that i had to jump right back into my favorite subject.. Whats the saying: beating a dead horse haha
I thought i said everything i had to on the bot subject ... at least that was the case before a lot of things changed with the crypto price drop.
I mean, we all dreaded this day, we knew would come, where we would hit the lows, we forgot even existed. Hell, when i came to Steemit, Steem was around 5 USD.

Now we find ourselves here at this low point we feared and i have to say... Oddly enough, it really aint that bad.
😁
And thats for a few reasons.

Last upload the payout im looking at atm shows quite a large SP gain. Id say my last 5 posts combined didnt net me that much SP at prices 50% higher.
Now im looking at that and in my mind im seeing me growing faster in the coming weeks then i was able to in the last few months. (sure i could have always powered up, but there are always some nice shoes behind the store window begging me to take them home ) 😋

Right now i dont have to fight the urge to convert to fiat, and sure the payouts used to be bigger, but that 1USD SBD peg looks soooo nice to me.
I finally got to see what it does to Steem when the peg is established even only for a moment in time.

Now... the dead horse in question...
Im sorry, its never nice to be somewhat happy when someone is having a rough time, but i couldnt force my self not to notice @therealwolf and @themarkymark talking about the SBD price in a, what seemed to me, a very "Ross" way... 😊

Now Mark i dont know but ive communicated with Therealwolf a few times and he seems like a really nice guy, so im not happy theyre having a hard time (not that they would admit it even if they did) but i cant dismiss my giggles at the bot economy taking a hit.

And its hard for me to think otherwise. (i could ask someone to check SQL but i like to live dangerously. haha)

Its just completely unprofitable to pay for upvotes right now. Sure you could say: "Well you get more SP, etc..." but really its the liquid SBD return that made bots and upvote services such a juicy investment .
The return on investment is quite bad imo. You barely get half of the liquid assets you spent back through payouts.
This of course had an effect on the trending page... im sorry to say but it got a bit worse. We seem to be in a transition period where those that arent completely aware of the cost for promotion are among the top bot users now and bots seem to allow more things through that, imo, were a lot of times before considered as spam and even blacklisted...

Im sorry, but a photo of a strawberry, or a meme isnt 300USD material. Never was before.

I cant say for sure, i could be wrong (always set up your argumentation escape haha)
but i think that bots are taking quite a big hit.

Lower liquid return on investment means less steemians spend on bots. If bot use stats drop, the delegation received isnt utilized to its potential meaning it might start looking to the delegators like it could be time to stop hibernating and start curating.
Im not sure about the math, but could we possibly get to a point, if this continues where its more profitable to curate then to delegate to bots, if the price remains constant for a while (not that i think it will) lowering bot use.

I sometimes wonder, how bad would it need to get for bots, that we see @freedom click the upvote button.😄

Crypto is bleeding and im excited at what happens next, hahahaha.

Anyways, stay strong people... This price drop is really an opportunity to grow your account and meet the Steem at 5-10USD head on, ready to make some serious profit.

Always look on the bright side of life, eh....

⭐See you soon, and keep on Steeming!⭐....

@heimindanger...If you're not too busy, would you please consider doing an updated post on the progress of DTUBE?

It seems like it's going to be a successful 'rooting'; which is a good thing. The most recent data I've found seems to be ~10 months ago.

Is there a FAQ page? Also, what is meant by switching between 'multiple channels' (in layman's terms)?

Best regards.

Peace.

I will make a post for the next versio, which should be quite big.

Faq page is at about.d.tube. All the related links can usually be found at the bottom of the left menu directly inside DTube (including the FAQ)

Im very curious to see if it would be profitable for some large bot investors to pump the SBD price again if bot use drops drastically.

Maybe.

But the problem still remains that short term strategies are not effective. A person must believe they can game nature then that they can get away by doing something sneaky. It never really works out in the long run. Plus they already then live in scarcity and a feeling of lack will always follow them.

Eventually the market will self-correct any unfair massive gains and the only people that can go on is people that invested in creating legit content or people that invested in real humans with a working brain. Since the latter did it for the fun and engagement.

Oh yeah... But what if you can game it for a week, then another week, then another.

I think it really shows now that when Steem is functioning with the peg as intended, bots just dont have a place on the blockchain as a profit making machine. They are reduced to what they sell themselves as, a promotional tool...

You are right. Profit is childish. Adults think bigger.

People still using bid bots be like...

Lets see how many lalalalalas their wallet can suffer.

Bid Bot owners singing in the shower pretending everything is fine 😂🤣
