Numerically, the PA gun season just started. Many other states also did too. In Illinois alone, 59,000 deer were bagged over this weekend. That's ridiculous. Their gun season is only 4 days though.
Back to PA though, the late bow season is Dec 26 to Jan 26. So many more days, but it will be colder to hunt deer and more difficult, but I don't mind.
I am a NY resident and our late bow season is from dec 8 to 18 (much shorter). But I did not buy a tag this year from NY.
As difficult it is to sight a buck, I think half the fun is chasing them. The other half is actually split between seeing them and taking a shot.
