This post has been included in the latest edition of SoS Daily News - a digest of all you need to know about the State of Steem.

I appreciate you following me so I wanted to stop by and see what kind of content you recreated. After completing this article, I know you are worth following as well.

I really appreciated the potential real-life examples of how Steem can be used. Using the Steem ecosystem to implement an allowance system is particularly interesting as I have 6 kiddos. Wish I would have thought of that before.

Have a blessed day and see you around!

Hey, I am honored by your kind words. I perused over your blog after your comment to me on another post and saw you were one I wanted to follow. I appreciate your tolerant views when faced with ideas that do not align with yours. We need more of that. So many seem to think that being tolerant means embracing and become intolerable towards others.

Glad you saw a practical way to implement spreading the Steem, and what a gift that will be if Steem reaches its potential for your kids down the road.

Thanks for taking an interest and leaving a thoughtful comment.

90 % of my working life has involved sales, in one form or another.

And I really think the perspective is just that. Non sales people do not possess that skill.
Other skills, yes, but not that one.
And it's that mentality that we need for a much larger adoption...
I don't see from the people who can make the changes..

Imagine if you received a 15 steem commission - paid from the account of the person you found? - over a 6 month period, say.

If they didn't stay, and post/interact - you wouldn't receive much commission.
Quality users, and rapid growth all in one..

One person on steem, found just one 'quality' person - we double our user base over night....

I put the idea out there on some 'big users' feeds.

Sounds of silence, and lead balloons mostly...

I disagree with you, and believe it is that sentiment that has actually stood in the way of mass adoption. While to some degree a merchant mentality certainly aids in this process, if it is the primary driving force you get what are the common dynamics we see taking place.

Where's Muh Profits

In order for there to be a mass adoption, it is going to require a couple of things.

  • belief that this system is true.

  • loving others enough you want them to share in the wealth.

While many corporations are cold to the plight of their employees, it would be a fallacy to believe all of them are. I have worked with many people in the course of my life that genuinely cared for myself and many coworkers. Cared enough they were happy if there was a way they could make my life easier while meeting company goals.

I have been in sales (self employed) much of my life, yet I am not a salesman. I lack the ability to lie to people, to try tricking them into buying things they don't need. I also sold things under what my competition did, making up in volume the difference. Doing so gained me repeat customers, customers who looked for me.

What I see here in many is a selfishness. It is those people who mostly can be counted on not to see the benefits of investing in others, in understanding that rewards for self can still be had not in spite of the fact one put another first, but BECAUSE one put another first. I would say easily 85-90% of my votes have been given to those I see understand community. Not only understand it, but support it in their actions.

I see many here talking big about community (their vision of it with themselves as the center of it), yet they are selfish with their votes, on constant powerdown and never invest in this community that they talk so loudly about when it benefits them. They are salesman, and they are not the ones that will bring mass adoption.

Love will bring mass adoption. Showing others how it is a COMPLETE system that benefits all parties involved if one looks to the welfare of the neighbors in OUR project. I notice for example when you talk of this project, you refer to this social site. Did you notice I did not refer to it in my post? This site is a demonstration of the possibilities, and unfortunately it is such a powerful demonstration for so many that come they get mesmerized into believing this is the end goal, when it was never more than the beginning. Which is why most projects only seem to focus on the 25K or so people that are active here, instead of looking outward to the billions waiting for OUR project to change the course of their lives.

Mass adoption. It means it gets spread far and wide through any means necessary. This is just a small sliver of the many ways it can be spread.
