Steem problems - priorities and the latest drama

in #steem5 years ago

I am new to Steemit so I don't know much about the politics here. But reading the latest posts from the big players and watching this drama I wanted to say something. It seems to me that they all have different priorities. The number one priority for Steemit should be how to make it more simple. The complexity of the website is the main reason people are leaving a couple of days after they sign up. It's very complicated and confusing for the average user.

Yet, the only reason the 'whales' got together is Money. They are afraid that is Steem will sell the coins it owns, the price will go down. And the coins they own of course will lose value. So some of them proposed a fork. The thing with forks is that they solve one problem but create other problems. And if you see all the cryptocurrency forks out there, you will notice that all they do is divide the community. We have thousands of coins who just made the market worst and ten new are created every day. In the end people lost their trust.

I have lived for 10 years in country with Communist dictatorship so I hate dictators. But when people say @ned should step down they should think all possible outcomes. Let's remove Saddam the Americans said, things will be better. Let's remove Gaddafi in Lybia and let's remove Assad in Syria. And look what happened. Chaos...

I am not on Ned's side or any other side. I'm just saying that there should be a plan about what's next.
