Steem goes down further
Steem has been on a continuous decline in the last few days and I do not know what can be the reason behind it. The overall market goes down but the value of steem in comparision drops drastically. If we look at the Steem chart it has lost most of it's value compared to BTC. I am not sure where this leads to but I still have faith in Steem and believe that it will emerge out. So far since more than a year we have only seen it declining, while BTC has recovered somewhat, Steem has gone down further.
If we compare it to the value last year in Jan with the current BTC price it should have been somewhere minimum at around 2$ but as of today it has dropped to as low as .27$ this gives a very jittery feeling as to what type of returns this investment will bring in. I hope that with the growing communities and also the Ad space provided Steem can recover some of it's value and come in line with the other Alt coins. But will this be enough, I hope but I do not think so. We surely need some serious actions that can bring up Steem and stop the loss of it's value in the market.
Steem is now on WazirX the Indian Exchange which is a good news for the Indians but it still does not make anything much easy as the Deposit and Withdrawal facility is not available. Some more time for we Indians till this start functioning.
Most of us have been putting a lot of effort on Steem making our post, driving communities, curating, people behind the scene managing the maintenance and operation of Steem and all of this is definitely with a hope that Steem will start performing better. What do you think is blocking Steem to rise? Is it not enough Marketing, or Excess Steem supply or lack of confidence of people which is withdrawing them away from Steem, or we do not have a clear vision from the leaders of Steem. Be it whatever but we need Steem to pump up a bit and give some ray of hope to us.
I am demotivated with this dips then the answer is NO, I have a long term vision for Steem and I am sure that it will turn around but the journey is also important and not only the final destination. And we all know that anything can happen in Crypto market, if we do not take right actions then yes we can also see a failure, but then that's the gamble of the whole Crypto market that one should be prepared with. For Steem we need some big actions happening for it to start scaling up.
Busy.org has been again not functioning for the past 2 days and I am not able to post from there.

Yes, I too wonder why. Steem ‘should’ have been rising over the past year. The platform is thriving more that ever and always has new users, current users gaining more SP etc. I wonder what is happening. It’s hard to find out how and why crypto markets fall like they do. BTC has been flying but nothing has had that type of bull movement. Everything used to basically mimic btc... but not anymore. Also, XRP is like a new stablecoin, it has hardly moved in a year and it was such a promising asset... well... it’s still early, let’s see what the second half of the year brings :)
Yes, we can wait till the market actually turn and get stable with the upward movement and that would be the time when we will know how Steem performs

@taliakerch anything can happen but still i have hope for steem.
This is a great time to be buying steem. I usually keep a few hundred dollars on coinbase just waiting for such opportunities, but i never expected steem to drop below .30 again. XRP lost over 14% of its value and it's number 3 on coinmarketcap. So I would not be too worried about the steem price.
It is the right time to buy, my worry is Steem going down so much in ranks then it was before. Anyways I hope that the right people are taking enough actions to turn around things
I hear you. I'm in it for the long haul, and I hope STEEM rises. I think it's still a grand experiment, like much of crypto, and a volatile market, but it would be nice to see that $2 price again. I'm glad you're still here and going strong!

That's what is bothering. All the prices are down so that's obvious but Steem going down so much below in rank is not a good feeling
And the "head" of Steem planing forks to increase curation for holder, punishing content creators...

it's so sad, really a demotivated factor, but belief is stronger...
I saw posts from important people on Steemit, and they were going to buy steem, so our fall is temporary, I hope...
I hope so my dear that it goes that way and they take proper actions in their capacity to turn around Steem
I think a lot of the early adopters who jumped on steem are also big crypto enthusiast. When steem dropped in value they abandon ship. We have to wait for the wave of the general public to get excited now to see the big rise in price.
