Steem-related Topics in Steem are Trending: the path of growth
Many trending topics are addressing Steem issues
And I think there is nothing wrong with that. If you ask around, some people might think:
"well, its supposed to be a social platform and I would expect a rich and diverse offer of different topics on the front page".
I really believe it is not something negative, it is even positive. Think of Steem as an alive-entity which is healing itself making use of its own resources.
What better place to talk and discuss about Steem than Steem?
Sometimes we ask ourselves, do we really want to show upfront in the landing page so many issues? What repercusion will this have? Isnt it bad press?
One thing I am sure. The world will know Steem has currently some challenges to solve, but it will also know that the community is proactively working on them and giving them the right visibility (many Steem problem-related posts are heavily voted for visibility).
Self-awareness
Just like in persons, introspection and awareness are key to keep healthy. I would encourage the community to keep openly and transparently discussing our issues and giving the right visibility through promotion those topics that are found to be more critical.

Agreed, the inbound discussions are necessary. But it would be less off-putting if all the non steem-related content was better presented and more easily discoverarble.
