The Old Dog Declares: Things Are Mushrooming on The Steem Blockchain!
Have you noticed that things are continuing to mushroom here on the Steem blockchain? Oh Ya!
I took this shot during my bike ride in Tyrol Italy a few days ago. It got me thinking!
What Does it Mean "To Mushroom"?
Did you see it? It means to burgeon, spread, explode, increase, expand, boom, skyrocket etc....
Why do I Say That Steem is Mushrooming?
Since all crypto prices are down don't look at the price look at the facts!
- Hardfork 20 is coming soon with easy signups! That's huge because who wants to wait 2 weeks?
- No longer will we need to wait 20 seconds between comments but just 3 seconds! Finally!
- In March 2019 SMT's will go live and this will bring many new entrepreneurs to the blockchain!
- We already have DTube, DLive, Steepshot, Busy, Partiko, Steem Monsters etc.. Look at all that has been built and multiply this by thousands!
A look at blocktivity.info will further convince you that Steem is a living, growing USEFUL blockchain!

Io non sono così ottimista....penso che questo social finirà presto o, forse, si trasformerà in altro. Ma come social non ci vedo un grande futuro. Non è cresciuto o migliorato nemmeno come grafica ! La "cura " dei contenuti di qualità è ormai sostituita dall'attività dei vari Bot a cui i grandi utenti (balene o delfini) hanno delegato il loro Stempower. Perchi entra oggi è praticamente impossibile crescere. Molti sono in Powerdown... Tutte le altre iniziative che hai citato sono solo l'inizio della fine per Steemit Social... Ma, devo dire, che come esperimento, Steemit sta durando già tanto... Ma voglio fidarmi della tua esperienza e del tuo ottimismo!Speriamo bene!
Yes certainly changes are coming. With the onset of oracles and communities other Dapps will have the ability to implement algorythmic rules that take away the abilty to use delegated votes or any other criteria that they desire.
For example, you may find a new niche in a Dapp that serves photographers.
Of course all new Dapps will need Steem as the underlying currency in order to have bandwidth which will make all existing Steem coins more valuable.
This is how I understand the coming changes.

After reading the meaning of Mushroom, yeah I agree with you! AppBase, Hivemind, HF20 and SMT and more big news are about to come! So we must ready to see a huge boosting of everything soon!

Even though I agree with everything you say I still think there is a little problem. You see Steemit is already 2.5 years old. I was expecting to be adopted by millions so far, yet we are only 1.1 / 1.2 mil users globaly. In order to grow as a platform but as a currency too we need to convince all those out there to join. To spread the word like a hurricane.
We may write nice articles about Steemit and steem’s potential (and I love reading them since I write a few of those too) but we are the insiders
It is like talking to each other, while a great promotion should have already taken place. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are lots of people who try their best to promote steem amd steemit. What I am talking about is massive promotion. Like in radio stations, stores, maybe even use a big brand to advertise the product on tv or promote it on the web in a completely professional way. Who wouldn't be convinced? Join the platform were you get paid to blog? I was convinced the same way, but I found Steemit by accident...
These are some random thoughts I have for some time now and I was considering to make a post, but your post gave me the opportunity to share them here. Besides you have a lot more followers than I do so it might be best if some people read it and we eventually have a nice conversation. Maybe they sound weird, I don’t know...
I love everything about Steemit therefore steem too. Literally everything (well there are flaws I know) but the whole concept rocks, that’s why I am anxious whether we will make the big jump or not and if yes...when.

Steemit was the Trojan Horse to get things going. It is still beta, once the SMT’s launch it wii fade into the background and the Steem you have will become very valuable as the principal token behind all other coins.
Once that happens blogging on Steemit will be a small piece of the Steem Blockchain.
I believe that too, even though I am not quite sure that Steemit will be just a small piece. I had a conversation with someone a few weeks back and he dropped the best line I've heard about steem. "There will be a time, where people will fight just for one steem token"
Time will tell for sure...I hope that SMT's are the answer to that.
Some people know more of the inner workings of the platform hence a wider perspective of what more to come than us. @timcliff has posted a few but too technical for me..perhaps you can ask him?
For now..belief in the platform is what most users here have. Small key promotions seem not enough yes where Steemit Inc can maybe do something about it but perhaps they have a timeline to do it?

Steem is definitely mushrooming, and it seems not a full week go by before there are news of more projects being launched.
The awesome thing about Steem is that it’s like a fertile soil perfect for the mushrooming of new projects. Great minds are coming together, communities are forming, and mind liked people find ways to improve Steem,
Steemit is the Think Tank and brain that will help the Steem blockchain to advance further then most people can even imagine

Nice shot for a magic mushroom which naturally growing and our bodies feel related to it...I am agree that Steem is continuing to mushroom because i believe it both has a positive effect on the user’s personality/life.
