Where should I even begin? Oh, this looks like a nice place. :)

After hearing a lot of hype and buzz about Steemit, here I have found myself.
The entire platform looks incredible and is unique to anything I've witnessed so far in the crypto world.
My initial impressions are great and the community seems to be really warm and welcoming, so here goes nothing.

Who am I?

Well, my name is Evan. I'm 24 currently and was born in the early 90's.
Much of my life I've moved around the U.S., mostly east coast, anywhere from NC to OH and many places in between.
My parents were divorced when I was really young (around 3 or 5 y.o. or so) and I've accepted that from an early age. This may be hard for most people to deal with, but I always adapted well. Sure, it sucked not being able to be in the same room with each of my parents at the same time.. or even the same neighborhood.. but I still had them both in my life luckily.. It did get tougher as I got older simply because I felt conflicted between my mother and my father. Throughout my childhood though, I was able to keep it together and it never really affected me too much.

I've always been very intuitive and I've got an engineering mind, as I've been told by teachers, my parents, acquaintances, etc.. my whole life. I enjoy breaking things down and re-assembling them (both metaphorically and physically), just to know what makes them tick. I love understanding things, whether that be how a clock works, or why someone thinks the way they do. I'm fascinated by knowledge and the quest for it as well.

I'm an avid lover of music and have a taste for almost every genre, with the exception of deeply country music and pop or songs with no lyrical value. My favorite part of music has to be the lyrics, the story they tell you.. the feelings they can give you.. just everything they have the power to do to you entices me to no end. I love hearing of others' struggles as well as their successes and music is full of both tragedy and happiness as well as every feeling or situation in-between.

I love to read as well. Some of my favorite books are probably by John Grisham and Shel Silverstein. I like self-improvement books as well like 'one-minute manager' or 'how to win friends and influence people' in addition to somewhat sci-fi themes. I suppose I like most things from reality all the way to fantasy. The inspirational books and the poetry hit me on the deepest levels though.

I would like to keep this as short as possible so that maybe in the future I can delve into different topics that I fancy, so I will speed things along. :)

A few of my hobbies are camping, riding bikes/dirtbikes, doing science experiments, working out, playing video games, travelling and designing houses/websites/apps with various programs. I enjoy MANY more things, but just listing them all seems a bit dry to me.

I've worked in the restaurant industry most of my life and it's quite tough. If you've worked in the industry, you know what I mean.. lol. I worked for a couple of digital printing companies as well, but that's about it. I trade bitcoin mostly now and I mine a small bit on the side, nothing substantial obviously. I also donate my plasma 2 times a week not only to help those in need, but also as a source of income since I am not that well off (win/win, I help save lives, they help me continue mine). I believe cryptocurrency is the future and I have begun to invest most of my time and effort into the concept. The future is very bright.

I'm by NO means wealthy financially.. but in spirit, love and ethics/morals.. I am HEAVILY wealthy. :)
I prefer to be a good person as opposed to a wealthy person, but it would be nice to not worry about whether or not I'll make enough to afford rent next month or not. What matters most to me is that I help others in whatever ways I can and that I try to do what I believe is best to assist them and myself throughout life.

This was just a short and not-too-in-depth story about me, but if you stuck around and read it in it's entirety, I appreciate you greatly and thank you for taking the time out of your life to hear a short story about mine!

I'm looking forward to what this community has to offer and so far I've gotten a small bit of success just by commenting and leaving positive feedback for others, so I'm ALREADY satisfied that with this platform, MY voice is actually worth something here.. unlike so many places you will go in life! It just makes the platform THAT much better!
