Seems to me he realized the problems facing Steemit are too tough to be easily solved and so is starting again instead of fixing things. Unfortunately that is a common approach, not just in tech but everywhere in the world. Fixing things is tough, but starting over is easy—at least it seems easy, tho we soon run into problems again at which time we have to decide if we will actually fix them this time or run away—I mean, start over—again.

And honestly, Steemit is shit. I have been enjoying it here because of all the nice people—such as you—I've met, but as a user interface, steemit is horrible. It isn't responsive, it gives us few options, making our posts look like something worse than Wordpress posts of ten years ago. Well, I say here, but I rarely use Steemit, preferring Busy or Steempeak. But even they have many of the same problems.

I don't know. I saw another comment that you are taking a job interview. I'm sorry to hear that, but I understand. This year has been rough for crypto, and rough for Steem. I will continue to keep an open-mind and stick around, seeing what comes, but I am also looking for more "peanuts" to feed my family with.

I feel this has been the end game for a long time now. It's going to be more about STEEM and less about Steemit, per se. Content will be pretty secondary, if not thirdary, or fourthary.

It's a bit of a shame. Personally, pretty much none of the apps really interest me, and Steemit itself has always been my main interest.

It was fun while it lasted. Just gotta eye the competitors if one still wants to do this whole get paid in crypto for producing content stuff.

I guess.

Yeah. I just had a job interview yesterday. Going to keep on moving forward with Voluntary Japan, but this whole endeavor, and indeed now, much of the "libertarian community" (save my inner circle of diehard badass gems of human beings) has left me disillusioned.

Onward and upward.

and indeed now, much of the "libertarian community" (save my inner circle of diehard badass gems of human beings) has left me disillusioned.

Hah. Join the club.

Good luck in the future endeavours, though! May they bring you success and happiness.

Thank you man. :)

And yes, I now think I understand your position on "libertarians" better.

Jesus christ. There are some real dumbasses.

i don't really see the point of his post. To tell us what? that he is working and isn't for vacations? Aside from that i can't really get anything important about Steemit itself.

I talked way too many times about the bad interface and that as you say too doesn't seem to be an issue for him or at least he doesn't care...

Clearly they have not been able to attract proper front-end dev talent.

I haven't used Steemit for a while now, since getting into Steempeak. I imagine they're probably building this new dapp on different tech, and would have to totally recode steemit for it to work. So they're just leaving steemit basically as is, because this new dapp will replace it.

I feel no attachment to steemit. It's just a window into the blockchain. And now we have better, clearer windows being built.

Pump and dump. Over and over. Bitshares. Steemit. EOS. "Destiny." Ned and these cats were talking about a great community here on this interface at first. I doubt they ever had intentions of making it great. Great way to make money. Sensationalize and then collect, over and over.

Whatever it is I'll own a stake in it, and don't need to build it myself (nobody wants that, trust me)

yes, it is not about steemit but about Steem and the SMTs
like it is not about bitcoin but blockchain and all cryptocurrencies

my longer answer is basically in this comment

At first it was about Steemit, though. These guys just seem to pump and dump. One idea after another.
