The old future stands around us without announcing its arrival.
It wears the look of routine rather than wonder.
Many miracles become invisible after enough repetition.
Progress settles into the background like a landscape no longer examined.

And somewhere ahead, another future is already being imagined.
It waits inside conversations, sketches, and uncertain hopes.
One day, it too will become ordinary and quietly take its place in history.
Then it will be known as an old future.
