True Colour's Nominees/Final Report - August 2025
The True Colours

Painted by @almaguer - Natural Artist
Who doesn't work, gets nothing to eat, is the expression I grew up with. By the way, this does not mean that I like to be abused or be the slave of those who say they like being an SC and rarely show up to do their job.
More than once I have heard lame excuses, noticed that the self-votes are much higher than 10% of the total upvotes and that the votes given by some SCs are particularly low. And even though there is plenty of VP left, voting is stopped.
Is the responsibility not there, is it bedtime or is being a curator lucrative enough and is farming rewarded here?
Nominee 1
Steemit's Commenter & Engager - @lupega
Nominated by: wakeupkitty

You don't need much to meet great, creative people on Steemit. All it takes is to leave a few lines, if you read and comment and reply on answers.
Is it true, is he an endangered species? If you invest a bit of time you will see that he is always around. No matter how busy he is, he posts and comments and adds a dose of humour while being honest.
If there would only be more supportive, active commenters like him Steemit would be a thriving, honest place where you know a friend waits to read you.
It's good you are here @lupega. You deserve to be in the spotlights.
I must confess that I like working in a team, especially when it involves honoring the work of people who write creatively and who read and comment on other users.
That's why I've always found it enjoyable to work on the True Colours team, as it's allowed me to meet people from other latitudes. In other words, I don't go to friends or seek to favor them. Rather, I take on the challenge of jumping from one place to another to find talent on the platform.
Is the job easy?
Not really. When I worked as a curator, I didn't work a shift for just one day, but for a full month. I make daily lists of potential candidates who must receive a vote from the curation team. And, on many occasions, I've had to lose work, which I'd previously put forward, because other teams select the comment or post I had previously selected. That's why, this past month, I had few posts and made few comments as a user.
Am I satisfied with the work I've done?
Yes, and I would apply again, but not monthly, because it's exhausting work when done properly.
I'm against easy work, and I wish there was a spirit of self-improvement on the platform to create valuable content that helps us grow as bloggers and as readers. Unfortunately, these ideas don't seem to be shared by the majority of users.
Still, as long as I have the opportunity to work in defense of creative content, I'll do it again and again, because humanity needs intellectual growth, not mental atrophy.
Nominee 2
The Art Storyteller - @hljott
Nominated: solperez

In this story, @hljott tells the tale of a father and son whose priorities in life were different. The former worked tirelessly to build a successful business; the latter, on the other hand, longed for a more relaxed life.
If you read the text, you might know whose side you'd take.
Nominee 3
Digital Artist - @iris20
Nominated: wakeupkitty

A Different Owl deserves a vote.
Time does not stand still. Some draw with pencils, pen or paint or use devices. We can argue about what real art is, whether someone is an artist only if he has passed an art school exam, but what does such a paper say about free expression of feelings, discovery of skills?
Dear @iris20, you keep trying and showing your colourful skills and broaden your horizons. There's no good or wrong if it comes to trying. Thanks for being part of the artistic family.

Does art live on Steemit?
I think so and there are many more artists who deserve to be noticed, however. ... @almaguer is what we call a natural. Not only as a publishing writer but also as a self-taught painter, he has proven himself in a short time.
It is not easy to have to paint at night in the dark with no facilities, no basic needs and no more than 2 hours of electricity in addition to a full-time job and many responsibilities.
Beneficiary
Author, Painter& Commenter - @almaguer
Dear @almaguer,
We got to know you on Steemit as a spirited writer, poet, lover of art, the cats, writing stories together and a cellar full of potatoes and corpses and of course the pelicans flying over blue oceans without being whistled back. You are never too shy to leave a poetic comment or advice for a fellow artist of any kind.
You are our True Colour team's beneficiary for 50%.
Happy Birthday! 🥳
We love you. You are one of the best, most motivated, enthusiastic, creative Steemians.
Note
The curation/work of True Colours is mainly done by the cats, although we continued to share the rewards, but everything comes to an end. We discussed being abandoned and decided to stop keeping up appearances. We kept our word, stuck to the guidelines and went for those who are forgotten: Artists, commenters, Europe, countries without SC - the true colours.
On the last 3 days of August rewards were given to:
- 38 posts
- As many females as males
- 14 countries
- 9 creative communities
- Clubstatus x No Club: 60/40
Summer Team - August 2025
We go for art, niches, skills
Europe, those ignored with a lot to offer
The commenters keeping Steemit alive!
Thank you very much, I feel happy to read and I will definitely continue working and persevering.

Congratulations friend @lupega, I am very happy that your creative work is recognized. Thank you for always expressing your ideas on these pages.
I'm speechless. The welcome and recognition are gratifying. True color. Always at the forefront. The true creators of art, for art.
We need many colors in our lives. Inspiration, motivation. You are excellent motivators. So, even if everyday life envelops you in so many worries, I always look forward to returning to this creative oasis. Captivating, in a few words. A radical change in life. Already having friends, affinity, is a great prize to strive for. If the effort to liberate our art is also recognized, then it's possible to follow our dreams.
Pure art in our lives. It's not about rhetoric, it's about feelings. About experiencing the most human creation, creating, spreading hope.
I hope you'll be on the platform forever. It takes a lot of work. Many helping hands, so that this space endures, as the center of art and literature.

Forever is loooong. I cannot make that promise.
Let's go for building together. There's plenty of art to share and if not we create.
It's well deserved.
I hope you had a great, creative birthday and wish you succes, many friendships and plenty of inspiration.
