I Participated In The Final Week Of Food Aid In Nigeria.

We've successfully completed Week 11 of our Charity Outreach program in various schools across Uyo, Nigeria. With schools closing next week, this marked our final visit. As if the children of Assurance Academy, which we visited yesterday knew, they all made it a truly unforgettable day.

Despite struggling with my health for several weeks, I managed to get out of bed by 8am. I decided to push through the discomfort and meet up with my teammates at StayFit Fitness Club. Watching them exercise and play a game of football lifted my spirits and I enjoyed the moments.

With our scheduled arrival time at the school being 11am, we wrapped up our session at the training pitch by 10am and headed out. I returned home with @whizzbro4eva, who was also at the training ground, and we freshened up and changed into our branded t-shirts for the project.

We then stopped by @kidi40's house, where we all gathered before departing together. I really do appreciate kidi40's kindness in withdrawing some money to cover our transportation costs, because we were like 15 minutes late already. We finally arrived at the school gate were we saw @goodybest and her brother, @chichigirl, @leosmart, @ngoenyi and @benton3. They children were already beaming with joy seeing our car outside, knowing fully well that Steemit people have arrived with goodies😊.

Their instinct didn't lie, because trulywe were with enough goodies for them, which was indomie noodles, uncooked food recommended by the school management. They were all summoned outside to stand in an orderly fashion, and get ready to receive their noodles of which we shared 2 packets each. You need to see how happy the children were when receiving the noodles from us.

I mean, why won't they be happy? The current economy of Nigeria isn't smiling with anyone, including the kids, so receiving something like this for free was something worth the million smiles. You want to also see for yourself the facial expression of these beautiful children when receiving their noodles? I'm not stingy😁, please feed your eyes....

There's a timeless saying that resonates deeply with me: "There's joy in giving, than receiving", even the Bible says that. Today, I witnessed its truth firsthand. The children's faces lit up with joy and happiness as they received from us, and incredibly, we, the givers, felt an equal sense of joy, happiness, and fulfillment. The smiles on our faces were a testament to the profound impact of giving and spreading happiness to others. Take a look at our cute faces beaming with joy and a million smiles😊....

I was happy to join my team despite my health condition

Maybe I was the most happiest because I could participate in the last week of the charity outreach despite my health condition. It was a great day for both me and my team, and I won't forget this particular school easily. There's something behind the children of this school, you would like to know?
