Light And Shadow Effect In A Portrait

I always like to draw a piece with deep shadow and hight light. It is usually great and interesting to see the transposition. While you are trying to comprehend what's it in the shadow, the light sparks and exposes everything on the other angle...creating a light and shadow effect for the pleasing eyes.

One fascinating thing about this piece is that there are some small white dots you will see in the midst of the shadows. They look like tiny stars up in the sky in the evening hour.

The sketch was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper using scribble technique.
