Entrance of the National Children's Park and Zoo Abujalink.
MORNING |
---|
I woke up in the morning at exactly 5:30am I then went to the living room which I woke my siblings and my parents for morning devotion, Thanking God for the gift of life and good health, after which I rushed to the bathroom which I had my bath thus, I decided to have my breakfast coz I will be having a long day, the long awaited excursion day has come, been the head teacher of my school (SKY TARGET INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY RIVERSIDE MASAKA), I will definitely have to be up and doing to see the day comes with a great success.
After my breakfast I rushed down to school, contacting the driver who will take us to the places which we'll be visiting, i.e National children's Park and Zoo Abuja, that's the place visited at last.
At the assembly ground I charged the students to be of good behavior and take important records of any valuable events because the adults ones will definitely give a report and more words of orientation were given to the students then we took off our journey to the excursion exercises.
AFTERNOON |
---|
Mararaba Traffic along Heartz plazalink.
We left home (school) half past 10:am, we encountered so many hold on and traffic in our journey especially Mararaba Area were filled with hold on as usual, then we arrived at the national Park around 1:05pm.
We visited so many places in the Zoo and the Parks, as village Man that I am, that's my first time of visiting a Zoo I was like wow I honestly enjoyed it, I get to see Tortoise, Hyena, Pithon, dog Baboons, Lion😊 Monkeys, Carmel etc were all found in the National Children's Park and Zoo Abuja.
On the other side, we visited children's playing ground it was quiet remarkable, children from my school that went for the excursion were 83 in numbers, to be honest controlling these crowd was hell, I came back home feeling tired and exhausted.
However, we intended visiting two places, The National Park and National assembly, but time could not permit, although not just time it was God at work, because had it mean we visited the second place and we might end up coming back home a bit late and we might possibly become a victim of Karu bridge fire explosion that occur last week Wednesday😭 that was the day we went for the excursion. but God saved our lives nothing happened or any record of injury occur to any of our students.
EVENING |
---|
When we returned back from the excursion at exactly 4:47pm, while at the school we made sure all the students were safe after which we sent them back to their various destination, then the staff were dismissed for the day, when I got home I was very tired and could not be able to do anything rather than take my bath, eat my dinner which was served to me by my Mom coz she noticed how exhausted I was.
After taking my dinner I decided to go through my phone to reply some messages and calls which I couldn't pick or reply due to how busy I was with my students, boom I got a shocking news of my life on Facebook concerning Tanker explosion at Karu bridge, before I knew tears start dropping from my eyes, I began to weep my soul out, and imagining had it mean this sad incident happened while we were coming back? God!!!.
It was so sad many lives were wasted that day, all I could say that day was thank you Jesus for the success of that day and for not allowing us to fall victim of such explosion, after which I drew a curtain for the day with tears flowing through my eyes.
