Greetings everyone in this great community, I hope you all are doing well. I am so much happy to be one of the participants in this very Contest talking about their city. Everyone of us belongs to a particular with great mind which act differently, enjoy different delicacies and speak differently from other cities.

Tell us about your city what makes it special

My city Uyo is the capital of Akwaibom state, it's known to be one the most serene city in my country. Uyo is so blessed with unique traditions, nice environment with cool breeze which can serve as spa. Uyo being the land of promise is a well known city blessed with Palm fruits which can be used for palm oil, kernel, palm wine and other palm beneficial uses. My city is so special from others because of our kind of tradition, language and delicacies. Our tradition here being the Usoro Ekong celebrated in honour of our heroes during the September and November period.

The mbere ekpo the mbere ekpo is one of the most known festival here where masquerade will display their dancing talents and also be served with a game of cutting out their portion of blessings.

The Uyai Food Festival As the name implies Uyai food, it's a period where different delicacies will be displayed to show our worth of delicacy.

Our known language is the ibibio language, it's so easy to learn my language because it's actually sounds like an action. The ibibio language is popularly known as one the most used language after igbo and Hausa. Our delicacies should be one the top best meal here in my country, foreigners from other places speak much of our delicacies ranging from afang, editan, ekpankukwo, akuti, efere etekhe and many more. My city is so rich and blessed with numerous traditions, food and many more.

Share local tradition, foods, or hidden gems

Our tradition is known to be peaceful and honourable, we enjoy our ekpo festival during September, November and December period. The ekpo festival displays different set of dance, love and peace. People from far and near come together to watch the display during those period. Just like I said earlier, our food is one the best for now. The Afang soup is the most known delicacy in my country because of its special taste especially when taken worn our soft African fufu.

The ekpankukwo is one the most local based food that supplies the body with nutrients and taste so exceptional. My mom really loves cooking the ekpankukwo during the weekends. I enjoy helping her because she gives out the bottom pot to me for being around.

We have so many hidden gems here in my city and have been able to tour around them. Taking on mobile photography really helped me alot because tourism became part of me, I wanted to capture more and more that along made me tour around my city. The Tropicana mall is known to be an hidden gem, the mall is one of the biggest mall in my city giving our a large space for cars of about 50 to park and a large place for business lovers to rent.

The international stadium is situated here in uyo showing that my city is known to be one of the greatest city in my state. The international stadium serves as a link to accept foreigners in, create revenue and so on.

Here in my city Uyo we have specials places I would love to show to my friends and tourists out there.

❤️The le' meridien hotels and golf resort
The le'meridien hotels and golf resort is situated here in uyo with a green forest serene area mainly used as a form of tourist attraction to people coming from far and near. The place is so beautiful place to stay, tour with a guide and also relax.

❤️The international stadiumthe international stadium should be one of the most biggest stadium in my country. The space is very big for spectators and athletes and spectators.

❤️The ibeno beach the ibeno beach is also known to be one situated in uyo here. The water is so wide and cool for people to fish, sightsee and many more.
