I cannot say that I had a successful marriage, lol - because I didn't. It ended after eight years and it didn't end very nicely either. However, with that said... I grew a lot from that tragedy.

I have been in a second relationship for almost twelve years now and although we are not married - we may as well be.

One thing I have learnt though, is that when the romance dies down - because it always does (as does the lust)... there had better be something else to replace it. Some other kind of connection between the two people.
