This is a funny movie about a prototype state-of-the art sex robot gone loose after two teen misfits found it during the night. A better movie budget would have made it a hit in my opinion.
They are already here. Seriously. There was a report some time ago. A sex robot has a lot of good aspects. Disease free, does not complain, will do anything is not picky about partners, doesn't become envious, doesn't need expensive gifts, entertainment, or dinners out. Pregnancy is not an issue.
From a simple Christian perspective, the use of sex robots can be seen as a distortion of God's design for love, relationships, and human dignity. The Scripture teaches that sexual intimacy is a gift from God, meant to be shared within the sacred bond of marriage between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). Sex robots bypass the emotional, spiritual, and personal connection that God intended for sexual relationships.
Using sex robots reduces something sacred to mere physical gratification and objectifies men and women, turning physical intimacy into a mechanical act rather than a reflection of love, devotion, loyalty and mutual respect. This can also lead to detachment from real, meaningful relationships, isolating people and weakening the bonds that build community and family, which are foundational in the Christian faith.
In the Bible in 1 Corinthians 6:18, we are urged to "flee from sexual immorality," and sex robots can easily become a gateway to behaviors that compromise moral boundaries. Christians are called to honor God with their bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and that means upholding purity and valuing the sacredness of human connection, not seeking fulfillment through artificial or distorted means.
For me as a Christian, we are called to pursue holiness and love that reflects God’s character, and sex robots stand in dark contrast to that calling.
Yes. It is yet another step down into degradation. Prostitution has always been with human society. In one sense it is a necessary service protecting the married women from sexual predation. There is a class of men who will find it necessary to indulge in the different degradations, gambling, intoxication, illicit sex and in Krishna conscious culture meat eating. So prostitution is a service performed by a certain class of women as their livelihood but it serves to protect the chaste ladies. Sex robots could put the prostitutes out of business. With the advancement of technology communications everything out in the open. The good and the bad. In that sense the technology for communication is a great boon. There is no way for secrets. Only those who refuse to see. Just some thoughts to share. God be with you.

Can be you are right (just read some reviews) who knows one day a new version will see the daylight (with out without Netflix). I searched a bit and lost trace but there are more films made with bots than I expected.
