Magical Christmas

Today, as I was walking to work, I felt the Christmas spirit and decorations all around me.

I admit, even though I am old, every year at this time, I love visiting craft stalls, homemade and handmade gifts, and photo opportunities.

Without saying much, I leave it to you to look at my photos and try to recreate the Christmas atmosphere.

I was pleasantly impressed by the decoration of the facades of the luxury boutiques.

This building was also decorated with a festive facade resembling a starry sky.

The Cartier boutique was decorated with a large, multi-tiered Christmas tree towering over the entrance.

The Dior store was no less beautiful :)

Such a luxury. Not one of those shops are where I stay and no one would decorate like this.

December 5th first but some shops do sell Christmas products and try to decorate a bit. Thus far I ignore it. Ir's too early for a Christmas tree and decorations.

I like the photos you took and uf you ask me the Christmas spirit has nothing to do with age.

Most stores really go overboard with the decorations and luxury, and often look unrealistic for everyday life, but it's clear that the merchants are trying their best to attract customers. Unfortunately, the Christmas holidays have also become a business...

How about this? The news said the reason why Saint Nicholas is celebrated less is because they start earlier with Christmas shopping (the discusdion was why the shops no longer decorate for Saint Nicholas).

I can tell you the answer: because shops don't de orate and try to earn for Christmas from September on if not August. People are forced and not even able to buy for Sint Nicholas. At least some villages care about culture and the last festivity we have.

I believe that if traditions matter to us, they will continue to exist, regardless of marketing.

Traditions only stay alive if we keep them alive, not if they are fought in this case also by immigrants feeling insulted. Strange, but at least there are still people who don't give a damn about a government giving in to threats and nonsense.

Thank you for commenting and replying.

A super creative day/week

@wakeupkitty Traditions really depend on us, the people who maintain them, but it is also important to find a balance to live peacefully together, regardless of differences. Every society wins when there is respect and dialogue, not tension. Thank you for your support! :)

I agree, but like me you know there are more people who aren't able to respect and won't go for a dialogue but instead fight the culture that embraced them. Let's hope one day eyes will open instead of tunnel vision.
