Introduction
The term Smartphone is referring to any mobile phone or device that have features such as messaging, voice commands, wireless network or wireless communication, mobile operating system, etc. Most Smartphones operate on Android Operating system (OS) or the Apple IOS, Windows OS, Blackberry OS, Ubuntu OS, Symbian OS and a host of others.

The Roles of Smartphone in Supporting My Activities on Steemit

The roles of Smartphone in the daily life of the 21st century man cannot be over emphasised. It makes communication easier, it helps in keeping schedules, time management, saves time and effort, etc.

Below are ways in which smartphone is supporting my activities on Steemit

1. Ability to publish blogs directly from my smartphone: I used my smartphone to register on the Steemit website and since then, I’ve always been using my phone to carryout activities on Steemit. Smartphone gives me the ability to login to my Steemit account seamlessly.

Gone are those days when blogging was done only by those who own computer 🖥 system. Now, Smartphone blogging is trending. I can report or post instantly on Steemit what’s going on in my environment, when travelling, eating, having meetings ups, etc.

2. Navigating other social media platforms: with my smartphone, I can copy my post link on Steemit and post it on other social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. This helps in creating further awareness (Promote Steemit) to my fans and followers on Facebook about Steemit platform thereby convincing them to join Steemit.

3. Mobile ability: Smartphones are handy and easy to carry along unlike computer systems. This makes it easier for me to do on – time post wherever I am or on the go. I don’t have to wait until I get home to use my laptop for the “diary game report,” I can do that instantly with my smartphone.

4. Security/Safety: smartphone provides me with the necessary security. It helps me keep my Steemit keys and TRON keys safe in my Google Drive, OneCloud, One Drive, I-cloud, etc. It also have features and applications for additional security such as the “Two – factor authentication” system. Google Authenticator and Authy are good examples of apps that provides two-factor authentication.

5. Learning: anytime I come across a new word or terminology on Steemit, I quickly use my smartphone and search it on the internet. That’s how I came to know about “content farming”, what3words.com, etc. It also helps me to learn more about cryptocurrency in the CryptoAcademy community on Steemit.

6. Marketplaces on Steemit: my smartphone helps me in searching for marketplaces on Steemit that accepts payments in STEEM, SBD and TRON. I like online shopping 🛍

Conclusion
The availability of Smartphones and their state of the art features makes blogging on Steemit seamless for thousands of people especially the youths who always move about with their Smartphones. It has made Steemit to gain acceptance by wider majority of people.

Imagine if you can only use laptops 💻 or computer systems to access Steemit. Steemit penetrative power or adoption rate among the populace wouldn’t have been this massive.

The role of Smartphone in supporting bloggers on Steemit is practically endless. That’s my opinion though.
