The Diary Game: The Joy Of Baking/Celebrating With My Friend(14-06-2025)

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing fine? It's an amazing Sunday and luckily a Father's Day too, Happy Father's Day to all the amazing father's all over the community and shores of Steemit. Keep doing good, we see all your efforts and we appreciate them all. Quickly, I'm here to share my yesterday's adventures with you all my people so please stay glued. It's your girl @purpleidy23, and I'm glad to be doing this with y'all today.

If showing up was a person, it'd definitely be me. I keep showing up no matter the challenges I face and guess what? Sometimes, the results I get baffles me and yesterday wasn't an exemption. I got up yesterday feeling a weak a bit but that didn't stop me from doing my chores and getting prepared to go to work. Saturday's are for work, not just work but my baking training and I always derive so much joy from showing up at the studio to learn, I'm passionate about this craft. Before going to the studio, I made a stop at the market to buy items I needed for baking. I wasn't familiar with the best baking shop in town but my boss gave me an easy direction on how to locate them.

I got to the studio and work began, everyone had a task to deliver but all attention was on me, why? It's because I had my first order and everyone wanted to see the result of my work. I mixed butter and sugar, added all my ingredients and set aside. I creamed my pan and poured in my batter and also preheat the oven before putting the pan in it. I went on to mix my butter icing for the design, I made sure to be fast on everything I did because my client had given me the time to deliver it and I didn't want to disappoint. Everything went on smoothly and the cake was ready in some hours and my client came for pickup.

In the afternoon, some person's came to visit us and share some words of encouragement and motivation with us. They charged us to take our training seriously and be dedicated to our craft saying it will pay off when we least expected. We all paused work to listen and maybe pick sense out of their many talks, we continued our work later and this time, we worked on our personal cake for our consumption but the aim was to be able to design it very well without needing assistance from anyone. This too took hours to finish, bakers in the house knows what I'm talking about. We finished late in the evening and I rushed to a friend's shop to pay a visit.

My friend had asked that I come join him in celebrating their new born and though I was so exhausted from work, I still had to honour his invitation because I had promised to. I got there and gave him the cake I made, we talked for few hours and I went back home. On getting down from the mini bus, I remembered I had not taken any selfie during the day so I had to do so immediately and that's the picture on my thumbnail, it was taken at night. I had dinner when I got home before laying down for a while to rest and was almost carried away but my roommate woke me up to go shower before going to bed.

I had my bath, came back and blogged before going to bed. I almost didn't blog but thank God for my roommate who woke me up to bath. So my friends, that's my Saturday in print. Thanks so much for reading, see you on my next post.
