My dear friends from this loving community, i greet you. I am happy to know that you're doing well. Happy weekend dear colleagues. This community is my favourite, that's why I love sharing my daily activities especially my weekend engagements here. Let me share my engagement on Friday with you here.

Mr. Zeno Offiong is the principal of the school I work with. He is a nice man; very sociable and dedicated to work. He lost his mother at the age of fifty three. The preparation towards attending the burial ceremony started the very moment we got the information. As a dedicated principal and the first son of the family, the school had planned to assist him wholeheartedly.

As the Vice-principal, I was to mobilize our teachers and students to attend the event. We had earlier contributed money among the staff to support him financially. I had also paid a part of an agreed amount to hire a bus that would convey staff to and fro the venue. Mr. Zeno comes from the South-eastern part of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria; Okobo Local Government in particular. He has been the principal of Kings ' Seed for five good years.

Very early in the morning of yesterday, I had woken up by 5.30am to start planning on how to coordinate staff to attend the event. Immediately, I woke up, I quickly brushed my mouth, took bath and had my light breakfast. By 7am, I had left the house to school. There was no school yesterday so we could attend the burial. After selecting just five students who would follow the staff to the burial, I then went out to bring the bus driver who would convey us. An eighteen seater-bus was billed to transport us down there. Although the driver had delayed us by coming late, we finally left Uyo to Okobo by 10.30am. The distance by bus to the venue is an hour drive.

We arrived there by 11.45am. When we got there, the burial ceremony was already ongoing in the Church, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. We couldn't get inside the church because we arrived late. The church was filled up and there was not a single seat left. We had to stand outside for the next two hours waiting for the pastor in charge to finish with the activities. I was really tired but I had to exercise patience.

It was 1.55pm. The church had finished funeral service. The remains were brought out from the church for burial. It wasn't long, our proprietor, Pst Ubon Inyang artived, just to also commiserate with one of his workers. After the burial, we were entertained by Mr. Zeno. We had to stay with him for some times before leaving.

We took some pictures with him as a memory.

The staff presence was a source of comfort to him.

The proprietor and his wife were also there to encourage and took a snap with Mr. Zeno.

After a time with him, we departed to Uyo. I came back home around 5pm. I didn't really engage in many activities when I got home. But I took bath and rest a little. By 5. 30pm, I went out to watch football match at viewing center. I love watching football on weekends. I came back around 8pm to iron few clothes I washed on Thursday morning si I could wear them to wedding on Saturday.

That was how I spent my Friday. It was so fruitful and interesting.

Thank you so very much for reaching out to my blog as well as reading my post. God bless you. Have a great time.
