Hello members. Steemit seems all good and bot is doing 'her' thing.
Today i thought we could look into 'witness' and why they are importent.
The transactions you perform here; create, upvote , comment, edit, transfers and so on. Must be witnessed and signed by a software running on a witness node(a server:computer.) That do this every day all day, the hole year, before it gets added to the blockchain.
The pay of for the witness is SP(steempower) and gets payed per block that gets added to the blockchain.
Witnesses are the pillars of the blockchain (steemit) most people here on steemit dont actually even know, that the witnesses even excist or what their 'job' is.
When you vote for a witness, you are telling the blockchain that you trust that steemian to do the job of signing blocks and keeping the platform working & safe.
That was all i hade for today, thought we could look a bit deeper into this tomorrow
