What's going on with the Status ICO?

Im hearing reports from people who have participated in the Status ICO that they've come across a situation where their transactions have been confirmed but their coins have not been released to them or their Ether refunded.

A youtuber that I am subbed to stated that he posted his situation on Facebook and reddit and he was contacted by an individual who claimed to be a co-founder of the Status platform.

He stated that this individual suggested that he could help him, and that he could provide him with 40,000 SNT for 1 ETH coin. The gentleman responded that he simply needed help with his original transactions that he already paid and nothing more.

The alleged co-founder then asked "do you know how to check for your SNT coins". And the gentlemen, knowing how to check still stated, "tell me how". The alleged co-founder then asked the gentlemen if he knows what "remote viewer" software is, and if he does he could access his computer via remote viewer and show him step by step.

The gentlemen then got the indication that he could be getting scammed by people looking to access peoples computers and then viewing their wallets/keys/personal info in order to steal coins.

Ladies and Gentlemen, be careful with these ICO's as well as individuals claiming to be able to help in this fashion. The gentlemen I speak up has put in 3 or 4 ETH and was simply looking to have his transaction complete which at the time of this writing has not occurred. Also beware of people offering you multiple times of what an ICO is offering by sending them your coins. It is likely a scam.
