Hello and welcome to another interesting post in the stateofthedapps media review. I woke up today to find out that the review is still open for a couple of hours and it’s with great Joy that I had to make another contribution. This post will look at an alternate steem frontend call steampeak.

What is steampeak?

I may define steempeak as an alternative steemit frontend that enables its users to surf and engage the steemit platform. It’s basically a medium that enables its users to access steemit with enhanced features.

How to get started

Follow the steps below to start using steempeak:

• Visit https://www.steempeak.com.
• Login with your steemit details.
  

• It will redirect you to the homepage after a successful login.

Follow the steps below to create your first post on steempeak:

• From the homepage, click the pen button.
  

• Click create post.
• Enter your title and body of the post.
  

• Click save.

Features and components of steempeak

There are several features and components that make steempeak outstanding. They include:

Ability to schedule post

Every blogger understands the need and function of post scheduling. It can really help take the pressure off some of us. We can easily complete a series of post and schedule them for a later date. This feature enables the user to schedule a post at a later date.

Ability to add template

This is another interesting feature. This feature enables the user who has a pattern of posting to design how his/her default editor will be arranged. It is cool for people with a particular pattern of posting.

Draft

This feature enables the blogger to save unfinished work until completion. It is a plus to this platform.

Bookmark

There are some posts we come across and would love to visit again. This feature enables the user to save a post link for later use.

Witnesses

This feature made it possible for users to see the steem witness rankings. This is very cool for me.

Multiple users

Some people manage more than one steemit account. Steempeak makes it easier for this set of people by making it possible for users to add more than one account.

The wallet page

This component makes it possible for users to check their transaction history. It also displays your account balances in all the categories involved.

Customization

There have some cool customization options. The user can change the default vote weight for post, comments and also the default post reward option.

On the content side, Users could hide post with some specific tags, change the way our comments are sorted and choose if the NSFW should open.

The interface can also be customized. The user can change the view mode, use night mode, open post in the pop-out panel, disable image slider and also enable notification.

Simple user interface

The user interface of this application is awesome. The icons are clear enough for anyone to understand. The site speed is fast enough for anyone to enjoy surfing it.

Search

It has a search button to enables users to search for a particular post or a particular user.
This feature can be of help in some urgent days.

Activities page
This is an interesting page to me. This page displays all the previous activities that have happened to your account. It shows the comments, upvotes, rewards and other activities as they happen.

Advantages

The main advantage of steempeak is the flexibility and enhanced features that it brings to the table. These features make blogging on steemit much more fun.

Disadvantage

So far everything is going fine. I am yet to see any disadvantage of the site. I, however, wish it was open source.

Comparison

There are lots of similar platform like busy.org, esteem and steemit itself. Steempeak has its own special selling points and I prefer it to the main steem interface.

Suggestion

Steempeak should think of making a mobile application. This will make it more enjoyable.

Conclusion and Rating

Steempeak has proven to be an excellent steemit frontend alternative. I highly recommend it to everyone that needs an alternate frontend to use.
I was satisfied with their service so I’ll rate it 4.9/5.0.
