What does the reveal in Last Jedi mean (includes spoilers)

One of the main reasons we see the movie is because we wanted to see who Rey is and where she came from. During the runtime of the movie we had many different hints that I guess were meant to confuse us and in the end it is revealed that her parents are nobodies. They are unimportant.
This makes perfect sense with the message of the film. You do not have to be born into an important bloodline to be important. In order to be inspiring you have to inspire with your actions, not your bloodline. And this is what happens with Rey. She is not Lukes or Leias or Palpatines or Kenobis or anyones ancestor. She is simply Rey. A random person out of nowhere is good enough to inspire hope into the rebellion just like anyone else. And I actually like this message of the film :)
