I recently found a video of Ben Shapiro discussing his order for the Star Wars movies shared on May 4th. In honor of May 4th, I am making this week's discussion a heated one. Which Star Wars movie is the best, and why?

My favorite Star Wars Movie:
We binchewatched the saga several times now, its like Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter. It just stays good no matter how many times you push the replay. I hope the movie industries see the importance of making such movies and make more of them..
Part 6, The Return of The Jedi, is my absolute favorite. Tons of action and amazing plays of the top actors. Everyone has their own favorite characters, and I liked the character of Darth Sidious the most. :s..

I just replied to the main post, too. My favorite was the original movie, which I saw as a child, in the theater when it was first released. You can see more about that in my other comment.
Definitely, my favorite character is Han Solo because of the perpetual tension that his character exhibits in the search for balance between self-reliance and cooperation.
OMG Yes Harrison :) He is one of my all-time favorite actors! This role and Indiana Jones were his best. He is an environmental activist too so I can only love him!
Darth Sid, not because I am evil myself, but that character had so much impact the first time it stays with me forever.
My favorite movie was Empire Strikes Back. I just find it the most enjoyable. My favorite character is probably Darth Vader because he has a really cool voice, and his character arc is remarkable (Especially when you consider the prequels).

My favorite Star Wars movie is A New Hope. I like the premise of being dropped into an existing world and story and picking things up from context.
I like that it can be a self-contained story and there's no cliffhanger or a need for sequels.
I think the films go down in quality from there.
If I must name the best film in the saga I will say that it is "The Empire Strikes Back", but what I love about all the films is music, that music that transports me to the galaxies.
My favorite is definitely the original movie, which is now known as "Episode IV: A New Hope".
I saw it in the the theater when it was first released, and to a fairly young kid at the time it was magical. The special effects were like nothing I had ever seen before, and the story that combined the themes of heroes, magic, technology, and rebellion was thrilling. On top of that, I saw it in the theater at the New Jersey shore in the middle of our family vacation, so it was just an all around good time.
I have enjoyed many of the other films, especially "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi", but for me, none of them totally recaptured the thrill of seeing that first one in the theater, and I also don't think that any of them had the transformative effect on the entire SciFi film genre that the first one had.
Certainly nothing like the beginning, but I will say "The Empire Strikes Back" because for me the special effects are wow
