A wonderful thought to ponder. You are right that "life is short and the only you can be remember is the footprint you will leave behind."
It is sad, but it is true. I have decided to stomp rather than walk through life so that I make a bigger footprint. You only live once, might as well leave your mark the best you can.
You are not truly gone until the last person you know speaks your name for the last time.
