STACH Short Story Contest #17: 199 words - The Twisted Fantasy of Erick

Erick was a shy, thin, clumsy and intelligent boy. I did not have a girlfriend or friends. The girls saw him as a weirdo, to make fun of and tease. Over the years he earned that it was better to go unnoticed so as not to be bothered by the popular boys of the classes.

But inside him grew the idea of taking revenge some day of all the jokes and ridicule that for years endured. Being different does not give your schoolmates the right to treat you as they treated you.

Erick fantasized about going to school with a gun and forcing the boys to apologize to all those who bothered, to make them go through the same jokes that they made them go through. Erick would make them run in their underwear all over the school campus, so that the rest would laugh at them. Go out with the most beautiful girl in school, and despise those who rejected him.

Erick would make them pay for all the years that they underestimated and vexed him. Erick would be the king of the school and everyone would bow to his presence ...
