@btcmillennial, As name suggests, Stable Coins have stand point Stability. In my opinion, from Investors point of view Stable Coins will receive more adoption because highly Volatile Market game is not a space which is preferred by everyone.
Let's see which projects will arrive with the Stable Coins Market because this is just a start. Gradually more projects will born due to Transfer Of Education and Knowledge about this space.

Stablecoins
well i also think that stablecoins are more popular in the crypto world. also their prices don't fluctuate too much rapid like as in the case of bitcoin (dropped around 20%).
stable coin trading volume has been increased quadrupled in the last year and the major reason was stability of their prices and mass volatility of other crypto.
additionally i agree with One way persons can protect themselves is to deal with stablecoins fully backed by fiat.
but i think having relationships of stable coins with banks is still far away might be due to a lack of financial networks that can accept and use cryptocurrencies.

You know what I think of stablecoins? Yes, they can prevent the value of your investment from short-term volatility, but on the other hand, once they are pegged to some of the fiat currency like dollar, they tend to loose their value because of the inflation of that fiat currency. And when the governments and central banks are making new money from thin air, the value of fiat AND ALSO STABLECOINS is losing its value. So I really don´t think its a good idea to store them for more than shor-term.
Stable coins are great but I think they could loose value over time
