Too Early For High Flyers?
Champions' League is back and It started on a high note with Liverpool nicking it at the end against Paris Saint Germaine. It was a classy encounter and the most anticipated of the tie yesterday. Who would have thought Liverpool will totally outplay PSG. I knew it would produce goals but i didn't have a favourite to win this.
Liverpool played their hearts out and it was evident they didn't give up. PSG thought they have nicked a draw, only for Roberto Firmino to break their hearts. PSG didn't lose that match, they only ran out of time. Hahahaha.
Liverpool really love the Champions' League. The way Anfield always bubble and roar would make any team lose their confidence when they take Liverpool on, on their home turf. What a match that was. Totally enjoyable.
I knew Barcelona's match would be a one dimensional match anyway and their talisman; Lionel Messi delivered the goods once again with a delightful hat trick. Lionel Messi is a fine wine; he always get better. I never have doubts when it comes to himself and Cristiano Ronaldo, as evident over the weekend when Ronaldo bagged two goals. He should have gotten 4 goals but he missed two sitters.
I have no words to describe Tottenham's collapse yesterday. Totally unacceptable and Kane couldn't bury the wonderful chance he had when he pushed the ball too far, after rounding off the keeper. Mauro Icardi proved to be the man for the occasion as Inter Milan scored two goals in quick succession to give Pochettino a hat trick of defeat, stretching back from the League.
The Champions' League is back with a bang but like i always say, it is too early to decide anything when it comes to football. I totally enjoyed yesterday's matches and i look forward to tonight's matches.
