The transfer of the 30-year-old center defender confirmed the two clubs involved in the transaction, namely Bayern and BVB. According to "Kicker", € 38 million may be deposited on the Munich account - this is amount together with the bonuses. The basic one is likely to reach € 30.5 million, and it will be a record for Borussia, anyway. The defensor will be bound by the contract with the club by 30 June 2022.

Hummels has already performed in Borussia between 2008 and 2016. In its colors 70-fold German representative recorded 309 appearances, reaching with the team from Dortmund, among others 2 country championships.

The defender then came to BVB from Munich, and returned to Bavaria in 2016. His combined balance in Bayern shirt is 118 meetings, 8 goals and 9 assists. Hummels won with him another 3 championships, 1 Cup and 3 Super Cups of Germany.

Last season, Hummels ran a total of 33 times on the pitch. However, he did not play such an important role in the Bayern team as before.
